Too much fish in pregnancy?

I really really am not one normally to fuss too much about what I eat when pregnant, especially as this is my third pg.
However...am having v strong cravings for smoked trout (!) and am getting through a packet every couple of days (only because I'm restraining myself for eating more). Is it an oily/toxic/polluted fish that I should avoid in large quantities?

Strangely enough, i went right off fish in my earlier pgs (both girls). Maybe a boy this time ?

Great question staranise as Ive just found a new craving for tuna! I craved haddock with DS, but Im still to find out what Im having this time round.

Im not sure exactly, but its certainly oily fish that you have to be careful with due to the mercury levels. Im sure trout would be fine, but maybe someone with more knowledge can help abit more.

at your champion swimmer Cammelia!

Excuse my ignorance, but as trout is a freshwater fish, does that mean it's not oily? Is it a big fish?! Is smoked trout okay but salmon isn't (as I think it is oily?!). Don't fancy tuna funny enough - it has to be smoked!

Other craving is tzatsiki and white pitta. preferably all together with the trout...yum!

I was told to vary my diet and not eat the same fish all the time, in fact bigger fishes have a bigger concentration of mercury. Trout is fine, it's a freshwater fish.
