Can you get pregnant after having unprotected sex during a period?

My normal cycle is between 21 days and 27 days, I am now on day 26 and still no sign of AF. I was away for the weekend so was out of the flow of my normal eating habits and noticed an increase in weight.

So on Monday I started back to normal eating, however I can't seem to shift the excess in fact I have put on even more!!!

I know as I write this that most people will say to do a test, but I am just so terrified that it will be a BFP. Another baby (I already have 2 dc) is the last thing I need right now as am having relationship problems with DH, and he is very anti babies.

Please can anyone explain to me how it is possible? or not?

it is always possible, if you ovulate early or late and sperm can live up to 7 days. if you have unprotected sex at any time, there is always a chance, however small, that you can get pregnant.

i am afraid you need to test and then you can make a rational decision about things
