I wake up at 8am feeling like Im going to throw up, DH makes breakfast I heave whilst eating it, but mange. Then I spend the next 2 hours feeling like Im going to throw brekkie up.

I then force some lunch into myself and feel like I'm going to throw it up for the next 4/5 hours.

Same with dineer, feeling sicl all day.

Then I have to have supper because i start to feel 'empty tummy sick' so I eat and feel OK ...

until about 10/11pm when I start to feel reallyy sick!!

I toss and turn in bed until I start to besick, so all through the night Im off to the toilet and throwing up. ONLY throwing up at night, not the daytime... just feel rotten during the day and like Im goint o be sick.

Then the day starts again

I am thankful to be pregnant, just not for feeling like this constantly, never had it 24 hours with the others, although I had it BAD with DS1 but just daytime.

Its especially hard when my DHS cousin tells me (who is pregnant with her 3rd and 15 weeks gone) that she never even feels pregnant, never gets any symptoms or feels sick!

oh DC, i feel for you. i suffer from morning sickness 24/7, but this time i am actually feeling better as i get closer to 12 week. i have spent a lot of the last three months chucking up, sleeping, having headaches, chucking up, feeling nasueous, chucking up.

i have found white toast, with small amount of butter and strawberry jam first thing has been good for stopping the initial sickness.

i eat little and often. getting hungrey makes it worse.

find soemthing that doesnt make you heave. with the girls i lived on marmite on toast. the thought of that this time is making me feel sick.

i had morning sickness all the way through with the girls, was even being sick in labour. so am happy its not too bad atm.

With DS1 it was McDonalds (eww!)

and DS2 it was cheese,

I really dont fancy anything up to now, just eat to stop myself starving basically!

Ive been like this too hun, many times Ive sobbed my heart out as ive just felt so ill with no break as its 24 hours a day. Yesterday was fist day i felt better (12 weeks 2 days). I agree with misdee, find something that doesnt make you feel sick and just graze on it, for me its been cheese, toast and marmite, water and diet coke only drinks i can manage. oh and yoghurts ive loved. I really fretted about this and I have got ketones as im not eating enough but just find something, anything and pick at it. I didnt "fabcy" anything to eat. Just at what doesnt make you sick to ward off the sickness. I dont think i was ever prepared for the emotional drain in feeling ill solidly for so long but as promised it really has eased at 12 weeks.

Ice cold full fat coke helped me, then I swapped to cold soda water - worked reasonably well.

It is really horrible isn't it? I may well draw the line at two kids because I hate this nasuea sooooo much. And the tiredness. The tiredness is a realy killer. I find the earlier I go to bed the less sick I feel in the night. I am currently going to bed at 8.30pm .

This time I have found that vinegar really helps . I practically drink the stuff. I am sure it is terrible for my stomach but in the short term it really hekps.

Hi
Sorry to hear you are feeling so awful. I am now 16 weeks and this week I hvae started to feel better. Mostly I was feeling sick but not being sick all say every day.

I was dreading the worst as I was actually sick every day with DS until 23 weeks!! but this time it has subsided sooner!!! Thank God - so there is hope

  1. people who have not had MS DON'T understand what its like - you are happy to be preggers but at the same time can't rlax into it cos you feel so icky

  2. things that helped me were: ice cold drinks, fizzy orange, brown breaded toasted with honey, fruit and CRISPS!!!!!!

Really hope you feel better very soon - thinking of you.

Oh Disenchanted, sympathies to you as I have felt exactly the same. Have to say that mine comes and goes a bit (have windows of a couple of hours when I feel tired but OK) but when it is full on it is a nightmare. Being sick overnight is the worst.

things which help (a little)

  • very cold drinks
  • wine gums
  • boiled sweets (pear drops and esp lemon sherbets to take yukky taste out of mouth)
  • toast
  • unsmelly cheese - mild cheddar
  • bread

In my last pg I was like this til 15 weeks when it stopped overnight. I know it's agood sign of strong hormones etc but that is no consolation when you feel pants.

Can you get some help in the day so you can rest? I put Cbeebies on at 1pm after kids' lunch and DD1 watches some rubbish while I sit on the sofa in a coma.

Hope it passes soon.
