Old Blood

I woke up this morning and there was some brown blood on my underwear. I have had piles this week and I don't know if it is from that or something else. Is it worth ringing the hospital to just get checked over?

TIA

yes. That's what they are there for - they might scan you to make sure. It is probably nothing but worth checking out. xxx

I rang them and they said there is no point going in. As its brown that means its old blood. They said it was probably caused by having sex.

I had some more bleeding this morning. But it was red blood. I have been at the hospital all day and they said I have to come back for a scan tomorrow morning.

They think everything is fine though as I have had no cramps and it was only a small amount of blood. Enough to scare me though.
