Baby is not big, not small...... Currently weighs just under 5lbs so right on target...

I'm skint so didn't pay for any photos or DVDs but I don't care. I got two pieces of paper with all the measurements on everything is right in the middle!!!

I didn't find out I was PG until I was 20 weeks PG - And even when I went to the Drs. they assured me I wasn't PG, they thought it was a tumour....

SO, yeah, I suppose I'm happy everything is OK - with me and baby!!

I have a friend who didn't know she was pregnant until she was 19 weeks (bearing in mind this was her third baby!) she also thought she had a tumour. Her little girl is gorgeous and healthy.

Thanks!

CazBoldy (and Belgo's friend!) ---

It makes me feel a bit better that I'm not the only one!! I mean, how do you get to your mid 30s and not know you are pregnant?

But I had NO symptoms - haven't been sick once my entire pregnancy, no cravings, still had periods (even though with hindsight, they were lighter) I've only properly started to show - and I only have 6 weeks left!! ... I am still largely in pre-pregnancy clothes... So it was just wonderful to hear the consultant tell me the weight was bang on...

I'm just over the moon I'm going to be a mum.... It still hasn't totally sunk in... After all these years of trying without a bit of success!!! And then I go and manage it without even bl**dy knowing!!

lol YCBS!!!

its lovely to see that everything is ok, i get really soppy when i think about it... dont know that I could have gone that long without knowing - only because I would have been convinced that I had some sort of alien-esque tumor in there which was trying to tunnel its way out!!!
re the tumour comments though - do they not think to check for pregnancy before scaring you?
I've know from about 4 weeks pregnant (only because my period didnt arrive and i'm normally very regular...) and I still can't quite get my head round the fact that I'm having a baby in 5 weeks at most....

You'd have thought so, wouldn't you?

When I first went to the Drs (Actually thought I had diabetes as I was constantly thirsty), they took loads of blood tests, so when I went back and they said I def. wasn't PG, I just assumed that's something they'd checked for....

I didn't really put weight on, but did have a 'belly' first thing in the morning.... that seemed to be why a tumour was suggested!!!

One day I'm really going to laugh about this......... I found out when I went for a scan (for them to determine how large th tumour was) so I was pretty nervous.... the scanner was a Nigerian woman with a strong accent... And when I get upset / stressed, I get a strong northern accent....

So, she's trying to tell me that there's a baby there - and I'm trying to get my head around it.... And neither one of us can understand the other......... it was and all at the same time...

my GP took it in the neck that day!!!!!!!! (I've since decided to go private and not go back to my GP!! )

At the end of the day, though, I've wanted this for SOOOOOOO long and I'm totally over the moon about the whole thing!!

YCBS - I am so thrilled for you! Well done you!

A friend of mine, about 39 at the time, went to the Drs with a stickyout tummy. She'd been on the pill and had "periods" for years. Fibroids suspected. Was referred for an US, and after the scan the sonographer left the room to get reinforcements from a colleague. Jo feared the worst, started making plans for DD (aged 16) after she'd died and was ASTOUNDED to be told she was 28 weeks gone! She since had another accident at 44! Her kids are now 23, 7 and 2!

Mind you, she said she came out with a few choice swear words she didn't even know that she had in her vocab!!

ROFL re scan - have wonderful mental image of the two of you!!!

ChutneyMary - lol re your friend - that must have been such a relief after fearing the worst - although pant-wettingly scary to know your going to have a baby in 10 weeks...

sounds like its quite common for doctors to not check for pregnancy!! i would have though it would be worth ruling out - i mean if they has it would have saved a lot of hassle/stress for all concerned!!!
