The most stupid question coming up... 23 weeks pregnant and just came from a nice little walk -13 miles (took four hours). I felt absolutely fine during the walk and still do (feel great, actually), but everything from my waste down hurts like hell now! the pain started as soon as I stopped walking, bumb is aching so much I cannot move properly ("you idiot", I hear you saying..) Baby is fine and kicking away, but can I cause harm to her by walking like this? Surely (hopefully) this pain are my own muscles and I can't bring on an early labour just by walking?

Were you used to walking like this before? If so than you will be fine. The pain is probably just your ligaments yelling at you.

Thanks, I guess/hope you're right, I haven't walked like this before, but used to run shorter distances before pregnancy so wasn't out of breath, tired or anything. If not pregnant this feeling(moving around hurts) would be that lovely feeling when you know you've done some damn good exercise, when pregnant everything is just so worrying...

Hi,
I have not really changed my exercise routine since becoming pg - I spend at least 2-3 hours in the gym per week usually high impact cardio or swimming a few miles.

I have lowered the impact at which I work because I find I get a bit more breathless than usual and I do feel a bit heavier sometimes but generally I am ok.

I think you are fien to continue with your usual routine - I think you should just follow the same principles for any exercise - be careful, drink plenty, don't get too hot and stop if you feel weird.
