You were all great on the best breast pads - can I ask for your advice on which are the best nappies for newborns?

Tesco - pampers and huggies a rip off (and leaked) - if you don't have a Tesco close by I've found Boots own to be very good too.

Tescos, you change them so often at that stage it's not worth paying any more.

I used Tescos too. They did leak occasionally when DD had a particularly explosive bottom, but when I had to buy branded (Pampers) because we ran out last minute, the branded ones leaked too.

The ones that fit ;)

I really didn't like the fit of pampers on DD. Huggies seemed much neater. We didn't really have a problem with leaks, although DD didn't go in for big explosive poos either.

I'd get a small pack of each of the nappies you can get hold of easily and see which ones you get on with best. Don't get too many Size 1's, though - DD was 9lb 12 and went practically straight into S2 nappies...

extra small or small Sandys - for a small investment you get nappys that you can use over and over and then sell at the end of your use. And mine never, ever leaked poo.

I'm using Pampers, or at least I would be if BIL hadn't given me 150 Moltex Oko green nappies (which I HATE!).

Tried Boots and hated the fit, they seemed very bulky between her legs and Nature Baby were just as bad (given those as well...)

Once I've used up the leaky green nappies, I'll be going back to Pampers - nice fit, dd is comfortable in them and they have never leaked, despite some tough challenges.

disposable - tesco own brand take some beating I think

re-useable - easy peasy Bimble QDs with a rikki wrap

tesco, £1 something a packet and they get through ten a day or something for the first few days
