Hi
This might sound a bit of an obvious question, but please indulge a first-timer!
I am 27 weeks. Only started feeling butterfly flutterings around 21/22 weeks and have now graduated on to much stronger sensations. I know you can sometimes feel baby kicking, and around this time they start hiccuping as well as they practise swallowing. But I'm wondering if you can tell a difference between what's a kick and what's a hiccup, or another type of movement?
At the moment I think what i feel must be hiccups: 5 or 10 minute periods of regular jumping sensations, a bit like a frog inside my tummy or, well, just like hiccups really! Then sometimes i'll feel a bit of sharp jab that i think might actually be a kick. It's just enough to make me slightly wince and notice it.
Any thoughts? And what's in store for me after this stage, when do you get onto feeling definite kicks and seeing bits of body parts moving across your stomach?!
Thanks.
