What stupid/irrational things have made you cry during pregnancy?

My all time classic emotsh moment was crying when the panda at Edinburgh zoo got pregnant last month.

Then there was remembering that a colleagues mum packed up a little lunch box of things she HAD to nibble on every hour during her morning sickness - the amount of love the mother had for her daughter to do that was overwhelming to me (at the time) lol.

If I'm in that mood where I need a good cry before I can get rationally on with the rest of my day, all I have to do is watch a youtube video of a flashmob! For some reason the build up and peek of the mob overwhelms me! Lol.

And if I'm in a freaked out tizzy about the enormity that's ahead of us, I just have to watch a youtube video of 'how to settle a crying baby' and I'm off! Completely overwhelmed in a bad kinda way. Lol.

What about you?

When dh walked ahead of me to get to the car because he didn't want to get a ticket I was inconsolable and told him that he was embarrassed to walk with me because I was fat and pregnant . Ridiculous

I am glad it's not just me Smile.

My daftest has to have been when DH was away with work when I was about 8 weeks pregnant and for some reason mince on toast was the only thing I could fathom eating for weeks. He told me he had left mince in the freezer, I just had to reheat it. I arrived home from work to discover it was raw mince, not the nice em cooked stuff I was anticipating and I couldn't face cooking it- so I phoned him and cried because the mince wasn't cooked for about an hour!

We went to look at our new house last week (moving when baby is about 6 weeks due to DH's job, we live in military quarters) and I cried because the swings were empty! To be fair, there were other issues with the move which kept me crying for the three hour trip home, but it was the empty swings that set me off.

The train I wanted to book wouldn't let me book so I got very cross and cried, very rational response!

I couldn't find the whisk to make my angel delight, had to use a fork and it went all lumpy, I was so upset about it! It was the only chocolate related thing in the house and I'd wanted chocolate!

I was sitting in the car outside aldi's one morning about 2 weeks ago before I found out I was pregnant.

Party Rock Anthem came on the radio and I was bopping away, loving it. Then they played 5 Seconds of Summer - Amnesia. Has anyone heard it? Well that was me. I must have stayed in that car park for a good half hour sobbing my heart out.

Feels like I havent stopped crying recently. Thats the one that sticks in my mind as it was one of the reasons I took a test lol

I tried to laminate my 8.5 and 12 week scan photos and melted the ink. Despite remembering quickly that I had photos of them on my ipad I began crying and wailed to DH "I melted the baby!" He printed off copies of the photos at 11pm while I sat sniffing and clutching the melted ones making comments like "but what if I melt the real baby?". I may have been a bit tired and hormonal.

I cried because I had to queue for a belt in river island.

Not sure if it was the belt or queue I was crying about but in the end I walked out without paying and without a belt.

This week I cried because:

My library books were due back and I couldn't find one of them.

The TV remote wasn't working.

I saw a picture of a baby.

DH found the library book.

Last night DH decided to get rid of some old DVDs and stuff on that music magpie website. He came downstairs carrying a load or PC games that he was going to get me to look though as well, to save me going up, and I bust into tears! I thought he was just going to get rid of my stuff without asking. He then looked mortified that I was upset which made it all worse

Oh, and on our last holiday a few weeks back DP booked a whale-watching trip. I hadn't booked as wasn't sure it was the best idea with dodgy balance & didn't know how big the boat was. Went along the next day, large boat, plenty of seating, but fully booked. Got a bit sniffly at that, but ok. Then when waving DP off the quay became totally convinced the boat would sink and I would never see him again and wailed head off. Bonkers.
