Pregnancy

Seriously - how can I cope another best - part - of 6 weeks?

I am 36+3.

I am huge, uncomfortable, bad heartburn and not sleeping.

I know I am blessed to be having a healthy pregnancy, but my god I want it over now! I am majorly fed up. Had been measuring a few weeks ahead, baby was in great position and starting to become engaged, but then at 36 week check she's back to back and still free Angry

I want a snuggly newborn, not to be carrying around a beach ball that hurts every time she moves. And I am so scared she's going to be huge Sad

please tell me I'm not alone...

I'm also 36+3 and feel your pain. I feel baby's movements soooo uncomfortable. I feel uncomfortable, heavy and slow.

Try not to think of it at 6 weeks, I'm saying 3-4 Hmm

Oh, I think our due date is the same, and all three of my previous DC were 1-2+ weeks overdue so I'm expecting another 5-6 weeks.

I'm properly ready for it to be over now. You are not alone!

As long as I make it to September 1st (don't want an August baby) then I'd like her to come a bit early.... please Mother Nature, if you are listening.

I'm the same, due 13th September but any time after 1st would be amazing.

Got a lot going on in my life at the moment so logistically (and logically) later would be better but I am so fed up. my 4 year old is bored and I'm worse!

I am 36+3 too and totally with you, especially the heartburn!!

I am also measuring big for dates and growth scan yesterday says baby is around 7lb5oz already (although I know these are notoriously inaccurate). I have been advised to be induced at 40 weeks and I really don't want the intervention but had complications with my DS so understand the need. I was advised by a lovely midwife that reflexology would help to bring on natural labour so had my first session today, another next week. I'm willing to try anything to get this baby out before induction.

oooh reflexology you say? I have only ever had it once and it was AMAZING! Does it need to be a specific kind? I think I deserve a treat...

Your baby still has plenty time to turn. I'm 40+5 and baby has moved from being in the perfect position all pregnancy to back to back in last few days. He's pretty engaged so not sure if he'll turn:-( I'm not as uncomfortable as you however (no heartburn, small bump) but this is really dragging on now......I've been told to make sure I'm not sitting back on sofa, spend time on all fours and get ball bouncing.....good luck!

I'm only 34+4 and absolutely fed up. I have one day that is OK, one day that is absolutely shit.. alternately. The shit days I feel sick, I can't eat but need to (I'm losing weight), whatever I eat gives me heartburn that makes me feel more sick, I can't sit comfortably in any position, I can't even lie comfortably without my sides going numb, the baby is kicking the shit out of me, I need a wee every 5 minutes etc etc. On the OK days, I can actually get things done, but by 6pm, I'm starting to be grumpy about the impending next day of shit. Grrr.

My friend had her baby on Friday, I'm going round tomorrow and I just know I'm going to be SO JEALOUS. Not of the baby, but of her non-pregnant state.

Serotonin-it is specific maternity reflexology to bring on labour. It was amazing so if it works or not it doesn't matter as I really enjoyed it!

The idea is that they gradually build up over a few weeks, it's nice to have some time just to relax and concentrate on this baby as life is so hectic with a 2 year old!

I am looking into it Smile

had an even more disturbed night than usual last night as the 4 year old decided he needed to get into bed with us - and boy does he wiggle!

Hi everyone, I'm 36+2 (midwife just put my due date back a week) so I'm now due 18th Sept.

I really don't want to complain as all I want is for my baby to be safe and healthy but LORDY I am over being pregnant!!! It's hard work! Nobody tells you that for some people you don't get this 'happy glow' you just get 9+months of discomfort Confused

I feel your pain x

This thread is encouraging- am 33+6, DD 5th Oct so 6 weeks to go and very grumpy today about being pummelled/ punched/ kicked on a regular basis. But I know how lucky I am- very little sickness, heartburn just starting (keep the Gaviscon close!) and still sleeping well once I get to sleep. Need to make the most of what energy I still have! Roll on maternity leave- aiming to make it to 12th Sept so nearly 37 weeks.

I'm 36+4 due Sept 15th. I am definitely done being pregnant. I am a horrid pregnant lady :) Sickly, uncomfy, moody, and no glow as makeup mentioned! But had a scare last night as I was spotting and had other early labour signs that I was asked to head to Triage. All of a sudden I figured another couple weeks would be just fine if everything would be well with the wee one! Thankfully baby is happy just now and staying put.... I'm okay with giving birth early as long as it's not too early it becomes more clinical. I don't want to go way over due date again with this 2nd pregnancy.

This pregnancy is lasting forever still! I have come to terms with the fact that I am going to go overdue now - it seems to have helped me feel less frustrated.

However from Monday (38+1) I am going to be pulling out all the old wives tales to get this baby going. pineapple, spicy food and sex Grin
