Im currently 33 weeks with DC2 - and feel huge!
I have put on 2 & a half stone already and know that is only going to increase over the next few weeks!
This time round I was in maternity clothes at 8 weeks and put on 10lbs in my 1st trimester!!
With DC1 I put on 2 & a half stone in total but know I will be (am) bigger this time.
The trouble is Im just hungry all the time!!!!
Im trying to eat healthily but am just not craving fruit & veg, it's more stodgy stuff like bread & crisps.
I still feel sick most mornings (not something I had with DC1) and I find eating helps.
I just wondered what others ate on a typical day to see if what Im consuming really is that much or whether it's 'normal' to be grazing constantly at this stage of pregnancy??

Thank!

Breakfast - cereal and yoghurt, 2 kiwis and a nectarine.
Sometimes: breakfast 2 - pop tarts : )
Lunch - fish finger sandwich.
Snack - a BIG bag of minstrels.
Dinner - pasta fish of some kind.

The minstrels are my weakness. I inhale them.

Not sure if it helps but I stopped gaining weight at 35 wks (now 40+4).... I had put on just over 2 stone at that stage and was starting to get a bit worried but my weight has been stable since. I don't have a typical diet as such but I managed to eat pretty healthy and get a decent amount of exercise in until I was 35 wks, then I started mat leave, and since then I've definitely eaten less well. The last few days I've been craving carbs like I never have before but it might be my body preparing itself. I'm also not going to weigh myself again! I put on 31 pounds at 40 wks. Whatever happens after that I don't care!!

Basically sod all. Am nearly 35 weeks and my appetite has totally disappeared. Having a bit of toast for lunch, and some soup and bread for dinner, plus a lot of milk (only craving). Obvs am having the odd chocolate bar, but can't really face proper food. I've already put on loads of weight though and baby is a good size, so I think this is probably normal.

I'm generally eating as much as pre pregnancy with maybe one extra snack on top (usually biscuits/crisps that I wouldn't have allowed myself mid week before). There are some days though where I'm too uncomfortable/full of baby so don't manage much for dinner.

With my first I put on 4 stone i was so greedy and starving. I'm 31 weeks now with my second and I've put on around a stone. I've just not really had an appetite this pregnancy, I mainly eat ceral at the moment that will be twice in a day, sometimes I have dinner. Just depends on how I feel.

If your hungry eat I would just like you said try and keep it healthy xx

34+4, little interest in food. Trying to make sure I get some fruit and veg in, but cereal has become a favourite. I have really bad heartburn, which puts me offeeating very much. At my appointment yesterday I'd lost weight, but no one seemed concerned. I was a bit overweight before I was pregnant though.

I think the general rule should be eat what you fancy. Baby will get what it needs.

I'm up a stone at 26 weeks but most of it's been in last 10 weeks. I normally eat loads of crap and put on 3 stone but I'm trying to keep it in check.
Breakfast is porridge with semi skimmed milk or fruit and yogurt.
Lunch might be half tin beans and slice toast or sushi.
Dinner is fajitas, pasta, chicken and veg/spuds but I need to keep cutting down on my portion sizes as I have a tendency to over eat.
I have takeaway once a week and a sweet treat every day which sometimes I over do (5 biscuits instead of one!).

I need to cut out the treats as weight is definitely not all bump etc. my bum/thighs are starting to expand.

At 30 weeks + 3 days, I've gained 1.7 stones. Pre-pregnancy BMI was 21.

Breakfast: Large bowl of porridge made with semi-skimmed milk and a small handful of nuts mixed in.

Lunch (if at work): Sandwich/wrap, yoghurt, juice drink. Plus a cookie or brownie if I'm particularly hungry (or if someone offers me one and I'm feeling greedy).

Lunch (if at home): Noodles/rice with stir-fried vegetables and a protein of some sort (meat/chicken/egg). Plus a Covent Garden soup if I'm particularly hungry. I try to get a hot meal whenever I can because I find it so much more filling.

Snacks (I snack frequently if I'm at home, but I don't have time to snack at work): total of 4-5 portions of fruit per day, with plain yoghurt or cheese.

Dinner: Noddles/rice with vegetables and a protein.

What I eat now is pretty similar to what I ate pre-pregnancy, except breakfast is bigger, and I'm less cautious with cakes and puddings.

Normally I have:

Breakfast: Ryvita and peanut butter and Jam (at about 6.30 when I get up)
Breakfast 2: Plain yoghurt and fruit (9.30ish at work)
Lunch: A salad but usually with something fatty like cheese or avocado and generous amount of dressing.
Dinner: Whatever DH has cooked - really variable.

Snack: piece of fruit and a decaf flat white normally

I've put on about 10lbs total was obese to start :(

On second thoughts, what I typed earlier is a general guide, but my daily intake does fluctuate quite a lot. I went though a massive weight gain at the start of my second trimester (pretty much gained 1 stone over 1 month, due to massively over-indulging on desserts and cakes out of the sheer thrill of being past the first trimester). Now I'm gaining the standard 1 lb per week that's recommended.

Breakfast 1 - bowl of cereal
Breakfast 2 - Toast
Sometimes snack when DD snacks, so cheese, more toast, whatever
Lunch - Usually sandwich with side salad, or might be a pasta salad, or soup.
More snacks
Dinner - Main meal so anything hot (and usually veggie as I'm pescetarian), curry, stews, casseroles, pies etc.

Add to that copious amounts of chocolate throughout the day, I just can't help myself.

I eat everything I shouldn't :( 39 weeks.. Pre pregnancy 9.5st now 11.9st...!! Very depressing BUT only a short time now before I have no excuse to eat the way I have been doing so I'm going to make the most of my last couple of weeks and eat whatever the hell I fancy :D!
