Hello guys,

I'm only 15w1d and for the last two weeks on and off I've been waking up in the middle of the night with lower right back pain round to my hip that won't shift, I end up sat up for hours and can't sleep, still feeling the effects of it this morning. Only had my urine checked 2 days ago by MW so I know it isn't an infection.

Seems a bit early for back problems??

I tend to lie on my back, so been trying to lie on my right now I'm pregnant, can't lie on my left because I get terrible stomach pains when I do (I had IBS before my pregnancy, symptoms gone since pregnant but I'm putting the left side pain down to that)

Anyone else had back probs this early?

(It's my first pregnancy)

I had quite early back problems, shooting sciatica pains down my left back/hip/leg when I stood or sat for too long. Mine cleared up with some ball excercises and aquayoga, but it's worth asking for some kind of physio referall. I still got hip pain when sleeping on one side so have to turn a lot, but I think that's pretty common!

it's not shooting or anything, it's more ache, almost equivalent to toothache in the sense that nothing eases it or moves it until it decides to go away on it's own!
