Pregnancy

Overdid it? Or just a wimp?

So today I went on a bit of a mission (at 36 weeks pregnant): 10 mins walk to bus stop, 30 min bus ride, another 10 mins walk to pool, 1 hr of swimming, followed by a shopping session for baby stuff in a huge mall, then a 10 min walk to bus station, 30 mins on bus, 10 mins walk back from bus stop. By the end I was waddling like a pregnant duck and hitting a max speed of about 1mph.

When I got home I literally dragged my sorry ass upstairs and fell almost instantly asleep.

I'm feeling guilty now because I have an NCT thing this evening but it'd be another 40 mins walking (there and back) and I just don't think I can do it. Husband is annoyed cos he think I'm being antisocial by not going. Well, I admit in the past I have been a bit antisocial (pre pregnancy) but I'm just knackered!

Am I just a wimp? It's ok, I'm a tough girl, I can take it!

Seriously dont bother going unless you actually want to. At 36 weeks pregnant everything is optional.

Bath, early night. Bliss.

Oh and tell him to stop being annoyed at you for something so trivial. Arse.

I went to Westfield at 35 weeks, 45 mins by train, then a day shopping, I not only nearly collapsed I threw up at home and went to bed at 8pm! The body can only take so much at this late stage! I'm gearing up to leave for Aquayoga in an hour by having a lie down now. My last session is the day before my due date if I get that far, not sure if I'll be able in 2 weeks!

I'm v social with the NCT girls and told them honestly why I couldn't make it! Husband is just worried about me making friends I guess, we're new to the area and he doesn't want me to be isolated when I have the baby.

My back doesn't half kill me though, I don't think I can even be bothered to go to the corner shop for dinner! Breakfast cereal it is, then!

I'm 34 weeks and would be knackered after a day like that!! Don't feel bad.

A few weeks ago I was walking 10k a day at least plus yoga and doing everything 'normally'. Now I'm 38 wks, on mat leave and walking to the bottom of the road is a chore. The more I walk, the heavier the bump seems to get and then he starts irritating my crotch area (lightning?) and eventually I give up. I'm feeling pretty lazy tbh but I guess I probably should make the most of this time!

Just had a seaweed and arnica bubble bath (Neal's Yard). It soothed my achy crotch, back and hips a treat.

I left a tape measure upstairs today and wanted to cry about having to go back up to get it. Took me half a box of Thorntons to summon up the energy, and even then I whimpered a bit. I blame yesterday.
