Pregnancy

7 weeks & feeling worse

Hi,
I am 7 weeks pregnant, child 3, however I feel so nauseous this time round. I've felt like this for 2 weeks but it just seems to be getting worse. As it is I am snacking every 2 hours to help but now I cannot lay down without the feeling like I am actually going to be sick. I know every pregnancy is different but I feel awful this time round. Not sure what to do. Trying to work & look after my children & husband & keep the house going (although hubby is great) but I just feel like I can't take much more of this nausea.
Any comments will be appreciated.
Thanks

Oh bless you

I don't know if this will help or not but I was the most sick when pg with my 3rd dc, apparently it's common with 3rd pg

It's horrible, and ime the only thing that helps is time, seven or 8 weeks was the peak of it for me then at around 12 weeks I felt normal again

Just get as much rest as humanly possible and let your dh take over

Thank you! I'm hoping it cannot get any worse. I'm running out of excuses as to why I am unwell! :)

I was like this and ended up being a urine infection. Didn't feel like when I had one before but really hit me.

My morning sickness has been worse with each pregnancy. This time around I was throwing up every day for weeks on end. It got so bad in the end that I had to start taking anti-sickness medication, which did help a little but I still felt pretty bad. I'm 15 weeks now and it is starting to fade. I think around 9-10 weeks was the peak for me. Sorry, I have no real advice to give but I totally know how you feel!

Hi - oh poor you... I sympathise. Currently 17 weeks with baby number 3. Nausea peaked each time during week 9 (and was pretty grim from 5.5 weeks - 13 weeks) but I was much much better with this third pregnancy. Still felt dreadful but didn't actually puke more than once. And I have lots of friends whose morning sickness was less sever with each subsequent pregnancy as well. So fingers crossed you're one of them...

Oh - try full fat coke too. Yes, it has caffeine but a can a day will be ok if you don't have other caffeine. (I drink decaf tea and can't stand the thought of coffee when pregnant...) (Helps with hangovers too but hopefully you won't be dealing with one of those for a while Wink.)
