TMI alert but need to check with people before docs tomorrow

Sorry in advance if this so way too much for people...

I'm seeing the doc tomorrow as have a really bad case of recurring thrush that canestan cream just isn't working so mw suggested asking for the pessary. The only thing is I've noticed that my 'natural smell' (I feel sick even typing it lol!) seems very strong at the moment and I just wondered if this is worth mentioning in relation to the thrush or whether it's a mixture of hormones, heightened sense of smell on my part or general hot weather symptom?

Thanks for any advice if you've read this far haha!! Thanks Blush

Don't be embarrassed, share all your worries with the doc, they won't bat an eyelid, they'll be used to it.
It possibly is all your hormones, heightened sense of smell etc as I sometimes think I smell different or notice my natural smell in a way I never did pre-pregnancy and I don't have thrush.

Tell them! May be simething more than thrush and probably easily treatable. GPs will have seen and smelt a thousand times worse. I definitely have a pregnancy smell if it helps? Not string, just different.

Garlic is fantastic for thrush. This may seem a bit extreme to some but after my excessively recurring issue with this, Canesten didn't work. I followed this advise and now every time I get that feeling, I do this and it works amazingly. X

I found morrisons own better than canestan, my dr gave me a pessary but it freaked me out to use it so I didn't use it! But a salt bath does wonders, my smell has changed down there and I notice it although hubby seems to think it hasnt

Hi ladies thank you for responses, got the pessary to use for 3 nights so we'll see how that goes, just hoping it does the trick as I'm sick of it! Mentioned the change in smell and he said could be linked due to bacteria levels but to see how this goes and reassess if not clearing up within a week :) should prob get used to having no shame about my 'down there' baby is due in 6 weeks and I'm sure I won't give 2 shits who's doing what in that area when the time comes lol!
