Waves of pain, early labour???

Hi all,

Fairly quick advice needed please. I'm 38+3 with my second. ELCS booked for 39+1.

I'm having some waves of period type pain in lower back and uterus area approximately every 4 mins.

No show, no waters. Do you think early signs of labour or just body messing around and likely to stop?

Currently home alone with a toddler who is thankfully still asleep but prob not for much longer. Need to know if I should call MIL to come and help or not?

Early labour I think. Make the call, and good luck Smile

Certainly sounds like it could be! It might be that it becomes more obvious quite quickly if it is.. I'm sure ur mil would rather u rang her to be sure! Best of luck Smilep

Thank you, I should know considering it's my second but didn't want to make a fuss over nothing!!

Might have to ring labour ward as well considering I'm supposed to be having ELCS. What do you think?
