Every day I do something embarrassingly (sp?) ditsy, and i can only hope it is a symptom of late pregnancy (and long days with 2 preschoolers) rather than a decline into early dementia. One of the main symptoms is not being able to drive my car without doing something idiotic, like putting it into reverse instead of 1st (not good when somehting behind you), or trying to place a food order in the pub twice, having forgotten that i'd already ordered.....am i losing it? I spend a lot of the time red-faced these days!

I forgot to pick up my DS from his dad's a couple of weeks ago Blush

I drove home from work. Pulled up outside my house thinking about what we could have for dinner... Realised I hadn't picked up my 19 month old DD from the childminders. OOPS.

I keep dropping things, picking things up again and dropping them AGAIN. It took me three times to successfully hold my mascara once. I then tried to put it on my lips Hmm
But I literally just like 10 minutes ago dropped the milk bottle.. trying to convince dp it is pregnancy brain..

Oh God, I have dropped EVERYTHING today.

I left the front door open this morning when I went to drop dd off to school. Not just unlocked. Wide open. Took the car so it was really obvious no one was at home and we live right next to a busy side road where people walking by can see our front door very very clearly. Luckily I didn't meet any mums on the way out or else I would have been gone for more than 10 minutes. I really swore at myself when I got home!

Drove 15 miles to go shopping with a friend only to get there and find I was still wearing my slippers.

Driving home from work a and forgetting to turn into my road. 3 times. Kept turning round and trying again.

I should have known when I went to pay for the pregnancy test and had forgotten my purse. Never done that before (or since!)

The checkout operator looked at me... Oddly...

I left the house with one shoe on and one slipper on.

I tried to make a contactless payment in Aldi. It didn't work. Cashier gently pointed out that I was trying to use a card that does not have a contactless payment facility.

I apologised and replaced it with my other card, that DOES do contactless payment, only for some reason I stuck it into the card machine as if to do a normal card payment.

Cashier - by now looking slightly pained - reminded me that that card wouldn't work in ANY way, as it's a credit card and they don't take them in Aldi.

Me - now more embarrassed than I've been in a long time - retrieved the first card from my wallet and just did a normal card payment with it like I should have bloody done to start with.

AND NOW I CAN NEVER GO IN ALDI EVER AGAIN Grin

I'm 31 weeks pregnant, come on baby, I've had enough of this...

Hehehe glad I'm not alone, so far this week I've tried to get through a train station barrier with my work pass, insisted in calling the new girl at work Michelle when her name is Melanie and git quite indignant when my poor manager didn't have a clue who I was talking about!

I think I forgot to put the detergent in the clothes washer (but I can't be sure!) never can remember if I've taken my multi vitamin or not. Forgot to turn the gas on under one saucepan so only half of dinner was cooked! I'm sure there are others but I can't remember! Grin

I made seafood stew without the fish so basically prawn stew. I didn't realize until the next day when I found the fish in the fridge.

Haha these are funny! My most recent one was at the weekend, I went to get a new phone contract and while signing up the guy asked me my surname, I told him straight away no problems then he asked "your first name please?" And I just stared at him blankly and after a painful silence (apart from my husband laughing) I just said "I don't know" felt like a right moron, my hubby finally stopped laughing and came to the rescue with "your name is TruJay love" and I was like oh yes "it's TruJay" lol so very red faced we then moved onto the next question!!

TruJay · 24/10/2013 10:00

Oh and I've done similar to rockchick but mine was milk in the cupboard, cereal in the fridge, was very confused when I went to make a cuppa later on and needed milk!!

So pleased it isnt just me!

I booked to go to the theatre with DP, arranged babysitter, drove to town 45 minutes away, had dinner- rushed so we would be at the theatre in time. Got there and sent DP to get drinks while I got a programme. Was quite indignant when programme seller tried to sell me a programme for the wrong show. Only it wasn't the wrong show- we were at the theatre a week early. Babysitter was a bit baffled when we got home 3 hours earlier than expected.....

Oh I am the queen of pregnabrain.

at my booking in appointment the midwife came into the waiting room and asked if I was melanie. I just stared blankly at her as I couldn't remember my own name. DP had to answer her and tell her I wasn't melanie.

I regularly can't remember the words for things. Couldn't remember the word for shower. Ended up shouting that it was like a car wash, but for humans.

argued with a cashier for 10 minutes, got her manager over to complain. I thought I had paid on my card, she kept telling me I hadn't. Turns out an old train ticket doesn't work in a chip and pin machine...

I went to the local shop with no trousers on. Just pants and a top. No shoes either Hmm

thought I was locked in a public loo. Called DP in a panic and he got the security guard to come in. Turns out I was turning the lock the wrong way.

I regularly find my phone on the fridge shelf and the milk has been found in the cupboard under the stairs at one point...

I'm only 32 weeks, so I have a while left. It will only get worse.

Went to make a cup of coffee and for the life of me couldn't remember how you make it. Does any one realise there are no instructions on the jar. Forgot how to drive. Sat in the car and realised I had not a clue how to drive.
