New thread ladies!

Happy birthday for tomorrow Bod sounds like you have a lovely day lined up!
DH is looking after DS tomorrow so I can go for a trip into York and a mooch round the shops. First stop will be a child free latte in Betty's!

Hi all, really struggling with the positiveness today, had bad dream that can't shake off.

Nice one Choc

Happy Birthday Bod!

Will the bloody dreams! They come and go but today you are pregnant and remember it was just a dream x

IBIP download Swan Lake for next time she goes quiet, much less stressful than a trip to hospital Grin

Morning everyone,

Happy birthday bod!
Smile at baby pink liking the ballet. Classy chick.

Hi willi, I don't think we've met but I'm sorry about the dream- they can be so haunting. Can you find something to immerse yourself in to shake it off.

Starting to believe that today I might really be pregnant helped along by peeing on a FRER and an opk this morning

Enjoy the wander choc. I'm sure they used to do delicious cinnamon toast in Betty's.... Or maybe I'm just thinking of Sally Lunns in Bath. Mmmmm melty buttery cinnamonny

Happy birthday bod - have a lovely day Grin

willi it was just a dream. Try and forget about it. It doesn't mean anything at all, it's just your subconscious playing tricks on you because you're so worried.

I have day two of my antenatal classes today. Yesterday was okay - not as preachy as I thought and one of the dads is an anaesthetist so there was minimal scope for scaremongering around the epidural chat! Today is post birth and tomorrow is breast feeding. They seem like a nice group though - hope we all stay in touch afterwards.

Place-marking!

Fluff I think how you're feeling about the 12 week scan is utterly normal, particularly if you've been through a loss in the past, but having seen the heartbeat at that stage there is only around 1% chance of anything going wrong by 12 weeks. You will be fine I'm sure Thanks

Thank you for the new thread Choc- as ever so grateful to still be here with you ladies and for your support!

Happy birthday Bod- hope you have a lovely day.
Choc- enjoy your time out- never been to York but I would love to visit as it looks lovely.
Willi- ignore the dreams, they mean nothing, just a way of processing what you are thinking about and your fears, I gave had some very odd and horrible dreams.
Andadietcoke - glad the classes are going well, are they NCT? We did NCT and it was great and I still keep in touch with the others from the class almost 3 1/2 years on, great way to have people to meet up with after your babies are born. I had an epidural both times and it was fine, the first time was absolute heaven after 2 days of contracting!!

Have a lovely Sunday everyone- I'm off to a play farm.
When is the Royal baby coming- poor old Kate, the whole world watching and waiting!!

As for boys names- someone says they loved Benjamin- that's my sons name and James is our current favourite, but slightly tarnished by the fact I have a cousin called James that I don't much like!!

Happy birthday Bod!
Willi, I know what you mean about the dreams, I'm really badly affected if. Had a bad dream, went through a phase where I barely slept for a week as I kept having awful nightmares and was trying to avoid them! But we have to just keep thinking, it's just a dream!

Hi everyone! Marking my place :)

Happy birthday bod!

Hugs, Willi, the bad dreams are the worst :( Although my last scan dream was more ridiculous than bad, I dreamt there was a piece of ham on the scan pic instead of a baby?! Make of that as you will...

Yay for camping Janie so glad you got your dip in the sea :) we didn't get away camping but are headed to Northumberland for a last min caravan hol tomorrow to make the most of this fab weather. Hope it holds!

Hi all and happy birthday Bod - hope you're having a fab day and being treated like a birthday queen :-)

A belated thanks to everyone for the well wishes and the tears. After the horribleness that was our drawn out mmc and surgery last year + the long stay in hospital with the high risk pregnancy, I can't believe we are out the other side of it now with DS Oliver, 12 days old. If I can do it, so can all of you!

I'm going to 'sign off' and say bye to you all I think cos it's just too tiring having Oliver (he's not taken well to breastfeeding so it's challenging at the moment...) and I never get to my phone/laptop anymore and then by the time I come on here, there are too many pages of news to catch up on and for me to do justice to.

Thank you SO much ladies for your support through the later stages of my PG. I wish I had discovered this thread much earlier on, esp for that first trimester because I wouldn't have felt so horribly alone in the anxiety. The support you offer each other on here is phenomenal. People say the internet has ruined communication - threads like this so strongly disprove that don't they.

Lots of love to you all and wishing you all happy pregnancies and then healthy bouncing babies xxx

How far along are you Shell? Personally I'd go for something like catwoman in black leggings, black long sleeved tshirt (show off the bump) and cat ears... Maybe a sticker on my bump saying "Batman's baby" or something along those lines!

Marking my place on the shiny new thread.

I'm shattered, slept for almost 10 hours last night, but still feeling bleurgh. But I'm not complaining - at this stage, I'll take any symptom that I can get Grin
I'm also having disturbing dreams, one of the reasons that my long sleep wasn't as restful as it could have been.

But the midwife called yesterday, got my booking in appt on Aug 1, yay!

It's not just me then??!! Thank god!!! It took me ages to snap out of it, really not like me but guess you are all right, it is my subconcious battling through. Waking up is really horrible as it reminds me of the MC and waiting up to "check". But like you say, I am pregnant today. I am actually coping a lot better than i thought. One of the odd things about this situation is you don't want the 12 wks scan quite so desperately as know are pregnant today. Don't think that makes sense but I know what I mean. Also helps that I will be having an early scan, either with NHS or private (posted separately about this).
