Ok so this is my third pregnancy so why am I so upset by relentless nausea and feeling totally crap? My DH and I really want this baby, we have two beautiful DS and I know it will be worth it in the end but I'm feeling so down about feeling so ill especially as I know I have at least another 8 weeks of this (currently 6 weeks and been feeling sick for a week now getting worse and worse). Just need some words of encouragement!! :(

Get thee to the doctors for some anti-sickness meds. They were a godsend to me. (Also dc3)

Thank you frustrated, do you know which I one you took? I took them with DS 2 but remember feeling really sleepy which was ok with one toddler but not so easy with one aged 5 and one aged 2!

I had Promethazine, which was taken at night. They kept me functioning without the constant feeling of nausea and being sick, and awake en

..enough during the day to chaise DCs around.

I didnt get this level of morning sickness with the previous 2. Which I think helped when I went to the doctors as I could explain how much more debilitating it was to what I experienced before.

I'm expecting DC2 and I had all day sickness till about 10 weeks where is started to ease off. I didn't get any sickness with DD. I'm 16 weeks now, & I still get the occasional waves of nausea, but this seems worse if I'm hungry, tired or have eaten far too much (which is usually the cause). Just hang on in there. I was told it would get better, & I just wanted some relief but it had me in tears at some point. Stay hopeful but seek advice if you think you need something else.

Congratulations on the pregnancy. Hand holding if you want it Wink

Thanks for words of support. I feel such a wimp and especially as everyone knows I suffer badly with morning sickness and I get the feeling sympathy running out with third time round! I'm sure people are thinking why do it again when you feel so rough! This is the last time for sure!!!

If anyone dares to judge you, just make sure their shoes are in sight next time you feel a hurl coming on...
I feel your pain (and nausea, and tiredness, and cramps) too, honeymoonmum. I hope it clears up soon.
Sometimes I try and think what I'll do first when I feel well enough again. Have a treat, go for an ice cream, buy a nice spring/summer dress, leave DC1 with inlaws and take DH to the cinema, etc. I know it's pitiful, but it gives me something other than my guts to concentrate on.

Great idea I love stacking cups. I think it is important to remember we will feel better at some point and try not to focus own when exactly. Think that's what got me so down yesterday, thinking too far ahead about all the days and weeks I must endure feeling like this. I do have some ok patches when I feel a bit ok (couple of hours a day maybe) so I'm trying get things done in house and eat during those times. Makes me feel a bit more normal. I'm terrified about work (have week off for Easter but when it go back I may have to tell boss) it's really hard being forced into telling early by sickness. On a plus point, got some ago mine from gp and actually managed breakfast although threw it up a couple of house later! At least I didn't wake feeling like death. Another day done, keeping chin up for now!
