I know some woman on hear have been through pregnancy loss.

I was wondering if anyone knows any useful/ good websites which have short poems or quotes for a headstone which you could past onto my link. Also if you know any from the top of you're head that you can write below?

Me and my partner are seeing the stonemason on Friday and are finding it difficult to find a saying we want. We want it to be perfect, Please comment if you do it will be much apreciated! Thanks

So sorry for your loss :(

Some beautiful poems at: www.litscape.com/themes/life_and_death/Death_Of_Child_Poetry.html

And this is beautiful but maybe too long...

Little Snowdrop

The world may never notice
If a Snowdrop doesn't bloom,
Or even pause to wonder
If the petals fall too soon.
But every life that ever forms,
Or ever comes to be,
Touches the world in some small way
For all eternity.
The little one we long for
Was swiftly here and gone.
But the love that was then planted
Is a light that still shines on.
And though our arms are empty,
Our hearts know what to do.
Every beating of our hearts
Says of our love for you.

I hope you find something perfect

Hi sleepy, so so sorry about your baby boy.

In the section where my dd is buried, there are some nice quotes, or phrases rather than poems:

too beautiful for earth
Sleeping forever in gods arms
Always loved, never forgotten

I can't think of the exact phrases ATM I'm afraid, but They might be some good suggestions on the bereaved mums thread.

I am so very sorry for your loss.

This is, I think, a lovely poem. Would the first verse alone be suitable?

Too Soon
by Mary Yarnall

This was a life that had hardly begun
No time to find your place in the Sun
No time to do all you could have done
But we loved you enough for a lifetime

No time to enjoy the world and it's wealth
No time to take life down off the shelf
No time to sing the songs of yourself
Though you had enough love for a lifetime

Those who live long endure sadness and tears
But you'll never suffer the sorrowing years
No betrayal, no anger, no hatred, no fears
Just love - Only love - In your lifetime.

Your son will always be perfect and will be forever young

There is a section here on this site that has poems and sayings, I know a few pages back there was a thread on what other people had chosen.

We went with "a moment in our arms, forever in our hearts."

Hi there
So sorry for your loss.
Do let us know if you'd like us to move this into our bereavement section - there may (sadly) be people with better advice there?
Hope the meeting goes well with the stonemason
Kindest
