I am just 30 weeks and was admitted to hospital with a bleed last night. Put on monitor etc etc - baby fine my bp only slightly up. Bleed stopped and now home. However have been given steroid injections just in case this is the very early stages of labour. How terrible is it if baby makes an appearance this week or in the next few weeks?

34+5 for us. We spent 13 days in the SCBU. Every week matters and the further you can go, the better.

Good luck

32 weeks just with ds3, we spent 4 days in nicu and then he came to me on the ward for 6 days before we were discharged.

We also had steroid injections and were told babies born after 30 weeks who had steroid injections had a better chance of being able to breath on their own.

The biggest problem we had was ds3 struggling to control his body temp.

Ds2 was born at 35 weeks and we spent 4 days on the ward establishing feeding.

Hope you hang on for a few more weeks and everything goes well.

Should have said I also had bleeds with ds2 from 18-24ish weeks but him being born at 35 weeks was totally unrelated to that.

I have a friend who is pg at the moment and experienced bleeds. Her last one was at 31 weeks and she's now 38 weeks and still no sign of the baby.

A lady in our NCT class went into labour around 30 weeks and her baby is now doing really well (he arrived about 4 weeks ago). The services at the hospital sound amazing, there is so much they can do now. Wishing you the very best - try not to worry, xx

My cousin had her twins at 29 weeks. They were kept in hospital for some time, obviously, but are now strapping 16 year olds Smile

Oh thanks guys - I feel more reassured now. Of course baby may come at 40 weeks! But if not at least the is top notch care for them. Was very impressed with the Rosie today x
