Hi ladies,

anyone else been through or going through this. I finally shake the extreme morning sickness a few days ago, and now feel really low and out of sorts, like I have forgotten something, but I don't know what, and it leaves me feeling a anxious. I keep taking things to heart much more, and over thinking things, and generally being quite paranoid!! I think it must be due to a hormone surge at 16 weeks, but doesn't make me feel any better :-( how long will this go on for? whoever says being pregnant 'isn't an illness you know' etc I will slap them round the face with a wet fish!

Just sending you a supportive Brew. I'm also 16 weeks and feeling very up and down. I really am thrilled to be pg, but feeling very needy and anxious atm, about everything, which is not really like me.

Hope you have some nice supportive friends or DP you can talk to. Here's hoping it passes soon! Let me know when it does.

Yes, I found at 16 wks I was a mess. Hormones were raging, it went on for about a week. Had another dip at 20 weeks. It's very normal to have emotional dips in pregnancy. Be kind to yourself!

Don't worry I think lost women go through this. I am now 27 weeks and have had a few dips where the slightest thing can bring on the tears. I felt a bit anxious too but it was and still is because I feel a bit vulnerable. It's a lot of pressure growing a human and always worrying that whatever you do could have a direct effect on the baby. But you just gave to remember this doesn't last forever, and then the real fun starts Smile

I'm 19+2 and feel like I could burst into tears on a regular basis. I already suffer with anxiety (and am agoraphobic), but it has been so much worse since I have been pregnant.

I really want this baby....but I will be so glad when the pregnancy is overSad

Have you had your urine tested recently? I've felt like this a couple of times during my pregnancy (including this week) and I've actually had UTIs. More difficult to detect in pregnancy because you're already peeing more/feeling tired/out of sorts! Worth checking.

Huge thanks ladies - really nice to have some virtual support!! Have got really good friends, and a great DH, but he works away Monday to Thursday, and I live in Germany, so sometimes makes it a bit hard. I saw my BF today, and she said she had the same problem at 16 weeks, so was just nice have a tea and chat about it.

But great point HavingALittle.. - I have been peeing every 1.5-2 hours, and getting up 5 times a night. I figured it was normal, but maybe it is a bit excessive! I go anyway to docs on Monday, but maybe I try and go tomorrow too to get it tested.

:-)

Yes in retrospect my nocturnal peeking increased from once a night to 2-3 times a night recently too! Definitely worth checking :)
