Hi ....Has ANYONE please ever had a positive OV test and neg PG test and been pregnant......

I missed my period. I am 40 yrs old and desp to have a child now. Tried for years without success. Had slight bleed 6 dp due period date. Nothing else. boobs horribly sore (never experienced anything like this before) dull slight cramping in lower tummy but nothing else. PG tests are all neg (BOOTS own brand) and now i have a positive ov test (clearblue digi)

Please please can anyone advise or share if you have experienced a pos ov test and neg preg test and actually BEEN pregnant?? I have never been a day late or experienced any odd feelings ' like really sore and heavy boobs' but pg test reads neg?? i am day 42 in my cycle. thank you in advance for reading/answering.

I'm normally a 28 day cycle but I didn't get a positive until day 36, but I was sure I was pregnant from about day 22 due to crampy feelings, boobs and terrible lower back and hip pain that I'd never experienced before.

There was a thred on here in early Jan with a few of us in the same boat, waiting, waiting, waiting. Was about 50/50 getting BFP/AF.

Don't give up hope yet, fingers crossed for you.

I would say its possible you haven't ovulated yet or are just about too.

I have found ovulation tests a bit unreliable tbh. I've tested for two cycles with clear blue and never got a positive, but got pregnant both times.

You can also get more than one LH surge each cycle and a LH surge doesn't necessarily mean you have ovulated.

THANK YOU so much PurplePS and Midori.

I am so wobbly at the moment.
No other symptoms other than tummy full of wind all the time, and sore boobs - worse over night.

PG tests are ALL negative . I must have taken 20!!!! then clearblue ovulation test gave a big fat smile this morning. I'm in such a dither!

Do we try again tonight (as I am supposed to be ovulating) or leave things as they are..... Its my sore boobs that are throwing me completely. If my boobs weren't SO sore, I would easily accept that nothing has happened. My blood result is back on Monday... but conception may be too late then. Hubby works away. I have to travel to see him when i Ovulate. It's never easy is it!!! Oh and I am 40 .. approaching 41 therefore running out of time now .... trying to stay positive!

Hubby home this week/weekend. If I am not pg, missing this opp would be such a wasted op. Feel dreadfully emotional (so unlike me) So sick of DTD to get pg and not just to enjoy each other :( .... eerrggghh Desp need my blood result but surgery will not answer on a saturday.

ps also very intolerant at the moment - is that a symptom? lol! also unlike me!

ANYONE got a BFN at day 42 and found to be pregnant at a later stage?????

I had 2 negative tests when I was SIX weeks pregnant. Can imagine my face 3 weeks later in the doctors!

I really hope you get the result you want!

Gosh did you Stacey212528. Thats so encouraging to hear. Thank you thank you thank you for taking time to respond to my SOS!

I feel different (but not a lot) just windy and sore boobs! ...

I just find the fact the my ov test picked up LH surge but my PG test did not pick up HGC a little disappointing..... it makes me less optimistic..... but of course.... I am still hoping! I always hope. This is the FIRST time that anything different has ever happened. Never been late before.... never had sore boobs but that be an unexplained nothing...

Has this happened to anyone else please?? if so what did you do ..... thank you again... so very grateful

I took a pregnancy test while on holiday in Cyprus, I was a tiny bit late and very emotional (for no obvious reasons). The test came back negative. DH and I were both surprised and sad. Came back home and after a week or so a good friend asked outright if I was pregnant, I said no but went straight out and bought another test. It was positive! I ended up POAS about 13times to make sure... Our only DD is now 8. I wish you the very best of luck. Smile

Aw i am very happy to hear your news Cherrycherry....... Yep i am the same with testing. God only knows how i have spent lo tests this month. At least 15 pg tests prob 20 (good ones ...) how crazy is that.

If its a neg, I just wish that my boobs would stop and the aching in my tummy would stop! lol ..... we'd be rich if we had a £1 for every girl that has said this! are you younger than me? (probably, i am 40!)

i know how you feel, pg tests were on the 'neccessities' part of my budget last month! Shock
Im 24 but i have endometriosis which led to an op resulting in only 1 good ovary so i was very lucky to conceieve
my first DD who is almost 6 months and me and OH decided we definately want 2 close in age and im also having a career break so we tried for a second as soon as DD was a month old. I was so shocked when i managed to conceieve again, i havent had a scan yet though so fingers and toes crossed theres a goodun in there!
Theyre crossed for you too x

Apologies for late response - We've been licking our wounds :(

& We failed again this month.

We've bitten the bullet and applied to the ARGC for IVF. Forms posted. Gulp gulp. My research has found this clinic to be the most expensive however alongside the Lister, the ARGC seem to deliver the highest success rate. DH is older than me (54) therefore for us 'it's now or never' anyone else remember this golden oldie!?!?!?!? :) My favourite tune at the moment is 'If I could turn back time' LOL LOL LOL ......... this would solve my problem!

How is everyone else?
