So my DH's cousin came to visit from France and gave us some camembert. Now everytime I open the fridge, not only am I nearly passing out from the smelly feet cheese fumes that are made 100x worse by pregnancy super smell, I am tortured by the fact we have delicious cheese in our fridge that I can't eat Angry

Any one trump that for inappropriate preggers lady presents? Grin

I know what you mean, I got a similar present when I was pregnant with DS + loads of fab alcohol which sat on the side taunting me.
I did see an inspired present the other day though www.pongcheese.co.uk/shop/cheese-gift-boxes/the-new-mums-box-of-indulgence.html I will be dropping heavy hints following birth of DC2

Bake it - as long as its cooked to piping hot all the way through you can eat it.

My DH announced last night he was "treating us" to a really good bottle of single malt for our upcoming ski holiday - and didn't twig till my face went Angry

A magnum of Moët champagne, at 17 weeks pregnant. It's not being opened until I've had the baby!

I was given a bottle of Bailey's for Christmas by my in-laws. They knew full well I am pregnant and won't be drinking it!

Yes bake it!! As long as it is cooked all the way through you are safe! Put some slits in it, drizzle with olive oil (garlic oil if you have it ) stuff thyme and slices of garlic (if not using garlic oil) in that slits and bake for 20/30 mins covered in foil/ baking parchment lush! Grin x x

Not strictly in line with the thread, but my friends sil gave me one of those cold packs you put in your knickers if you've had stitches. Very kind of her, apart from it was second hand and she had "used it loads." Still, nice thought though!

We decided on a wine cellar for our wedding gift list (we don't have a cellar but you know what I mean: wine as presents to start building a collection). I got pregnant about 1.5 years after that, breastfed for over a year (nothing against the occasional drink, but I went completely off wine and much preferred beer), then got pregnant again within two months... Sooooooo we have a lot of wine haha.

Sister in law gave me a bottle of rose wine for Christmas I was 7 months pregnant at the time so unless she bought it 4 months in advance was completely inappropriate Sad

Unsolicited advice. Then, when you don't automatically fawn all over them for giving said advice, MAJOR attitude. Grr. Feck off already. Allow me the dream of what being a new mum could be like. It doesn't actually HAVE to be hell on earth. Not for everyone. Not all of the time. For the rest of forever.

Bad baby clothes. Just no. I don't care if it makes me ruder than Satan, I'm not dressing my child like a sack of spuds to make someone else happy. Sorry. Also, THERE ARE OTHER COLOURS BESIDES PINK. REALLY. LIKE GREEN, AND PURPLE, AND BLUE, AND ORANGE, AND OH SO MANY OTHER COLOURS OMG!!!1111123

Bad maternity clothes. Appreciate the gift, definitely, but if you give someone over-the-bump tight trousers, she wears them and feels uncomfortable, the appropriate response is NOT to go out and buy some more over-the-bump tight trousers and get cross when she won't wear them. Srsly. And also, nothing with glitter on it. Ever.

A 150 Reiss voucher! I'm a size 14/16 without being pregnant... But really, zero hope of finding anything for a pregnant lady who isn't the duchess of cambridge in there. Hmm
