since about 2 weeks i noticed that everytime i take a shower or bath, that i feel nauseas as soon as i wash my hair with shampoo..

On Sunday i wanted to try something and asked my DH to come and wash my hair in the shower. as soon as he rubbed the shampoo into my hair I started vomitting, and good thing the Toilet is right beside the shower, i threw up..

Before the pregnancy i never had that problem. could it be that i can not stand the smell of the shampoo. I tried Dove and Pantene up so far..

Shampoo was a trigger for me too. Went through about 4 different types before I found something I could stomach. Bad news is I still can't stand the smell of the ones that made me sick do I have lots of left over shampoo! Can't even stand to smell it on DP or I give it him.

Go for a mild smelling shampoo. Try some of the baby shampoos although I find Johnsons quite overpowering. I couldn't use spray deoderant and had to use roll on quickly before I could smell it!

I had a shower gel, lovely nice smelling one which made me vom in the early stages of pregnancy. Also a certain air freshener reminds me of morning sickness whenever I smell it. Sensory memory is very weird!HmmSmile

Speed up the process and get an unscented/mild scented shampoo + conditioner in one. I found getting into certain positions in the shower made me gag (eg trying to reach my feet!). You just have to adapt til you manage.

I developed the same thing with detergents. A lot of them just made me feel nauseous. I would look for unscented products wherever possible until this phase passes. Good luck!

Thanks everyone.. I bought a mild one it is natural shampoo and with aloe Vera. Right away tried it and did not once vomit.. I so hope it will go away in second trimester.

Well good to know that I'm not the only one with these weird symptoms.. Smile

I have a whole bottle of my previously favourite perfume that I now can't wear for this very reason Sad

And LO is now 6mo.
