Best changing bag if got toddler & newborn?

Which bags can you recommend if got 20 month old & newborn ? I used to have a storksak but am sick of that now so want nice new bag for imminent arrival of baby number 2! Anyone seen any nice ones? Would be great if could find one on sale!!

Dropping by to see if anyone has a good suggestion as in a similar position - Pink lining have nice bags but don't know if they would be big enough for al the stuff needed bearing in mind toddler will need changes of clothes for potty training soon and newborn need changes of clothes for exploding nappies (oh my god what am I doing!!) Lol :)

For my toddler now (he's 3) we just use a daysac instead of a change bag, to fit in his changes of clothes and his lunch for when he goes to the childminder - we find its a lot easier to carry round town.

When this little one arrives, we're thinking about just sticking with the rucksack as our portable change mat will easily fit in, and there are pockets and stuff, to fit bits and pieces in.

So, I'm not sure I'll go back to a 'conventional' change bag.

I use a pink lining bag most days and fits everything in.

But if we're going for a full day out our toddler has a little tikes rucksack that I pop his juice and snacks and wipes in.

Frees up a little space in my bag.

But generally I can get away with the pink lining one. I have a massive buggy and two babies to look after, I don't want a huge bag to cart around too!

I have a 2 year old and am expecting DC2 at the end of the month.

The changing bag choice has given me a headache, but DH bought me a lovely black leather Storksak for Christmas, so that's what I'm going to use.

I had a Radley changing bag before, and it was a sodding nightmare, never again!

The Storksak looks great though, sturdy with lots of pockets. As I hated the Radley so much I found it fairly easy to choose a new one as I had a good idea of what I hated about it, so could avoid.

I'm figuring if I end up not being able to fit everything in the Storksak then I'll just use a rucksack and use the Storksak at other times. I'm so glad to be rid of the Radley one though!

I quite fancy a pacapod as they have separate individual compartments so can keep it all easily accessible :)

Ah yes they did here and here Personally I like the OiOi Giraffe tote.....but dd3 is 5 so I don't need one!
TKMAXX is always worth a look. I've seen skiphop in there before

LOVE the pacapod it's amazing! I would snap any up! Not brilliant customer service at all, and you will need them but it's all worth it!

Thanks so much for the suggestions. Crikey though, hadnt even thought about the need to transport potty training stuff as well as all other stuff soon. Are we mad to have babies this close to each other??

The potty training phase should be a short one. If it isn't it's too early for your older child and you should stop for a bit and then try again

No you're not mad. 20 months is a perfectly sane and common gap.

I am only thinking about potty training as we tried to start about a month ago after a really good week he decided no way so stopped completely till he is ready but aware that he may be difficult and will have that stage (probably with a newborn around)
I do think we are a bit mad but all my friends with small gaps think it is a wonderful gap and they should know - they have gaps from between 17 months to 28 months they think their kids are closer and you are already accustomed to nappies and sleepless nights lol

I have a skip hop dash- i love it. I'm a childminder and expecting my second and it's plenty big enough for a mindee inc all of her asthma things (probably 2, depending on age), my 6yo and all the stuff that goes with a newborn.
UGH jealous of you with a Storksak :)

I had a 15 month gap, you're not mad at all!
I'm using a fat face canvas bag at the moment which fits in everything for a day out with 3 under 5's. I have a couple of small drawstring bags to keep everything together and usually have a little lunch bag as well with drinks and snacks.
For a bit of luxury what about Pitterpac? They are gorgeous leather bags, am saving up for one!

Hi - @naturalbaby I have a Whitehall Pitterpac bag and I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!! I purchased a pacapod back when my DD1 with born and it was too clumsy having to take out all the bags inside the bag iykwim so i sold it on ebay and bought a //www.pitterpac.com one instead - so much more fashionable too - think it will be big enough when my DD2 is born in a few months as theres double pockets etc and the changing mat with pockets attached is a godsend.

thats the beauty of a pitterpac, they look like handbags! all you have to do is remove the changing mat (which holds your wipes and nappies) give it to the childminder, they have what they need and your have a lucious handbag! perrrrrrrfect ;) dont forget valentines coming up - perfect pressie! lol

I have a skip hop loft, fits everything easily as well as a potette plus for the training, should my lazy 3 year old ever decide to move on from nappies. I like that it has clips on each corner so I can hang it from shopping trollies or low down on the pushchair, that plus being waterproof were my only requirements but it was surprising how many bags that ruled out. Cloth bags are a nightmare if they will be exposed outside the cover on a pushchair. I had a Radley with DD which I loved but it was an old style (4 yrs ago now) and the new ones looked awful. And it was wrecked anyway. Enjoy the shopping!

I have a toddler and a newborn, i have the Ellie from Babybeau //www.baby-beau.com/baby-changing-bags/ellie-tan-shopper-tote-changing-bag, only because i like to keep my hands free with the toddler running everywhere. So I can wear it as a crossbody. I did not want get a messenger as I don't find them to be feminine (just my opinion) and this bag can be used as a handbag aswell.

Taking note of all these options - I'm expecting DC2 and DD1 will be about 2 years.
Which ones have space for cloth nappies? DD1's change bag is the boots freebie and it's rather tight with just one spare nappy.
I was wondering whether we just got a 2nd change bag - would it be too annoying? But it would be more convenient when DH is taking one child and I've got the other - just grab the right bags without having to re-pack.
