Want to share this with you! I downloaded the app yesterday.. was a little skeptical about it.. but it actually worked for me! It's brilliant! Experts say you can hear your baby's heart beat with a regular stethoscope so I'm not surprised that this works. I'm just mad I can't send the recordings. Still an awesome app :)

Who else here is using it?

You can use your iPhone as a Doppler and listen with headphones to your baby's heartbeat...

You must be joking... Shameless promotion of an app which cannot work?!

Not only that, it's very dangerous. Babies have died because women got false reassurance from home dopplers and didn't get their pregnancies checked out by someone trained to assess fetal heart rates.

Yes I've used the baby scope on and it's lovely, especially now I'm 31 weeks its very clear. I have recorded it too and it is a shame you can't share the recordings. I tried to send it to my DH phone but it just send a invite to download the app.... To those who say 'It can't possibly work' you are wrong.
It uses the iPhones microphone and you use it with ear phones. It will even pick up my other DC voices through my abdomen when they are shouting in the other room.

I didn't say it couldn't work, I said they state it is for 30-40 weeks only.
I also see the point re: it having potential dangers...

scubasarah it was to Strawberries about it couldn't possibly work.
Yes there are potential dangers if you were to rely on it but for me it's just a bit of fun to have a listen every now and then. Monitoring movement and regular midwife appointments are obviously what you should rely on and if you do have a worry then it shouldn't be used to reassure yourself as its not fail safe.
It's just lovely to lie back and listen.

Put your iPhone on airplane mode, it's cut off all kinds of transmission from it!

Holding a radioactive phone do your stomach is hardly a good idea

NOT if you switch to airplane mode!

I have reported this post, as I have reported previous posters advertising this app.

Its a con. It just plays typical baby HB sounds and captures any echoes in the room through your phone mic. Its dangerous if misrepresented and could result in foetal death through complacency please dont be fooled

Completely agree with strawberries, as a sonographer I find this app very disturbing and feel it should be banned. The only way a babies heartbeat should be monitored is by trained professionals using medical ultrasound equipment.

I keep reading about this app...I also keep reading that it is fake, just plays HB recordings.
