Back pain is very common during pregnancy and usually just as easily treatable as if you are not pregnant. Any experienced Osteopath will be able to help you and if you are interested I have some back tips on my website. www.irvingboxer.com

Phew! That makes me feel much better! This is my 2nd pregnancy, my first I had practically no symptoms and this time I feel like my body's falling apart!!! Thanks for the replies- I needed to hear that it's normal and will hopefully pass soon smile

I had really bad shooting aims down the right hand side of my back into my bum cheek (from week 10-11) When it got really bad I could hardy walk, was starting to get quite worried then after 1 week it completely went, phew!!

I had backache very early aswell. Im 40 weeks now and my backache isnt as bad as it was then. I actually think it got better as the weeks went on or maybe I got used to it, I would only have back pain now after really long day. Its due to hormones losening your ligaments up- A relaxing bath at end of day sorted me out smile
Good luck with pregnancy

Has anyone else had backache this early? I'm trying to convince myself that I've strained my back lifting something but can't think what. Its right at the base of my spine, where a lower back tattoo would be and hurts like hell!!!
