Potty training

How many wees in one day?!!!

This morning my dd (2.11) got out of bed, went straight to the potty, and announced that she wasn't going to wear nappies any more! This after weeks of me suggesting that soon she might be ready to stop wearing them and her insisting she was "still little" and wanted to wear nappies! Anyway, I can't believe how many times she's wee'd today - is it normal at first for them to do loads of little wees, and will it get less? If this is how often she's going to wee we'll be looking for toilets every 5 mins when out - which means we won't be going out very often any more . She's done really well though - quite a few hits as well as misses, so fingers crossed she doesn't decide tomorrow she wants her nappies back!

Ds started off weeing loads, think they just need to get used to the sensation because in a nappy it doesnt matter if they wee every 5mins!! Over the time we've been potty training he's had to go less and less, but does a big wee when he goes. Now I'm sometimes amazed how long he goes without needing a wee.

Sounds like she's doing well so I'm sure it wont be long before she has the hang of it

it gets less frequent quite quickly IM(limited)E. DD2 was weeing every 15 minutes for the first couple of days but a week later is frequently going 2 or even 3 hours between weeks. I guess it either means she has good bladder control or is horribly dehydrated

Thanks, that's good to hear! Yes, she did get up this morning and refuse to wear her knickers - wanted nappies back "to stop the wee-wee coming" . Think she'd had enough after yesterday! We got over it though and today's been great, no accidents, so all going in the right direction so far!
