Potty training

Does this behaviour sound like I should try and potty train DS2?

Ds2 is 18 mo and seems a pretty intelligent toddler. He gets the idea of things pretty quickly and seems to understand everything I say to him. however his vocabulary is non-existent he communicates with me by pointing or dragging me to what he wants.

He hates having a nappy on and the last few days has worked out how to whip them off (I use cloth and dispo's and he can do them all, velcro, poppers and pull-ups). He can also wee to order, but his order not mine! He favourite game atm is going round the house deliberatly doing a little bit of wee before stopping and running off somewhere else to do another bit. He has done one wee on the potty, but it seems it's more fun to do it on the carpet.

So I don't know whether this is the start of him being ready to PT or whether I should be finding a way to make him keep his nappy on. The main reason I'm not actively trying is the fact that he doesn't have the language to tell me if he needs to go.

My eldest PT at 2.3 mo and it was easy as he was ready and just did it.
