DD3 age 3yr5m has been dry for a year now. She is also out of nappies at night. However she will only poo in a nappy and even refuses to sit down on the toilet/potty to poo.
I did have a week where I refused to give her a nappy, she held it in and ended up pooing in her knickers, howvwer as soon as I sat her down she stopped and held it in.
She's just asked for a nappy to do a poo. I gave her one and told her to sit on the toilet to do it. Any way 1 hr later, she's asleep after having the mother of all tantrums, having not done a poo.
Any ideas please

Not much advice but a lot of sympathy. My ds did this for 14 months after being otherwise potty trained. I tried bribes, threats and getting cross. None of it made any difference then one day he just did it on his own (at about 3.7). I still don't know what made the change. I did find that withholding a nappy (which I confess I did) made it worse as he just held on and became quite distressed. All I can say is that it did eventually stop and I did not have to spend the rest of my life wiping him clean. Good luck.

I had the same with DS2. Last month, when he was 3.7 I just told him I couldn't stand it anymore, that he was a big boy, and there wouldn't be any more nappies. I took all the nappies and threw them away in the bin and covered them with the tomato sauce I was cooking. The next day, he had THE face thay have when they need to poo, and we went in the bathroom and he just did it. I couldn't believe it. And that's it.
I did the same as you: cold turkey, brides, long talks..... and ended up, washing tons of pants (beurck). What I think did the trick was that he saw I was really feed up.

and the fact that that night we had pasta without sauce!
