So, 21 mo DD has a lot of playdates with a slightly older little boy who is currently being potty trained.
She's developed a fascination with loos and potties and asks to use it. This morning she did a wee on the loo (held on as we have no child loo seat) and was very proud of herself.
We're off on holiday in a week's time and that seems like an ideal time to give potty training a go (recognising that it may be too early of course).
What do I need? Potty? Child seat for loo? What are good brands/makes? Portable potty for trips out? Pants? (not sure I see the need but it seems to be recommended to get them pants??) Mop and bucket obviously
Do I put her on the potty every so often or wait for her to ask?
Do I need to give her an incentive to stay on the potty till she wees, like ipad time, or is that counter productive?
Her poo face is pretty unmistakable so we should be able to catch those at least...
Is there a book anyone can recommend on this?
