Potty training

Ds doesn't acknowledge that he's pooed

I'm in the middle of potty training ds (2.7). We're having success with wee. He goes and finds the potty when he needs a wee or tells me if I ask but no such luck with poos.
He won't tell me if he needs one, will poo on the floor rather than the potty, and if he has a nappy on he won't acknowledge when he's done a poo.
I can't actually tell when he needs one or is doing one either. He doesn't stand still or make a face or anything.
Is this normal? What can I do to encourage him to tell me or use the potty for a poo?

Make that three! Although normally he acknowledge it, apart from today.

I am not sure my DS knows how to poo sitting down but this is just a guess.

I am no expert as not long started with Ds. He is good with poos tho. What worked for us is keeping him on the potty for as long as possible when you know he is due for a poo so that you may catch one by chance and then loads of praise if he does it.

I found both DS and DD got wees before they got poos. Just took a bit longer (and some pooey pants)
