Advice for being dry at night?

3.10 yo ds is still wet every morning despite religiously goes to loo before bed.

I'm gonna try taking him to loo before I go to bed, see if that helps.

Any other other tips?

Also anyone had any success with reusable nappies for toddlers? I'm so fed up with spending ££ on toddler nappies…

Honestly? Ypu wait it out. Its a hormonal thing rather than behaviour.

Wee before bed and restricting drinks after say 5pm is probably as much as you can do. if they are still peeing in the night time even when doing this, its because they are not hormonally capable of not peeing in their sleep.

I would just wait it out until the hormone kicks in. I would hate it if I was thirsty and not allowed a drink in case I needed a wee.

This might sound obvious but are you sure he's not just having a wee in his nappy as soon as he wakes up?

You wait. It is hormonal. Before they start producing the right hormone then they physically can't be dry at night. One of mine was 5 and a half, the next is that age now and I think will continue to need a night nappy for s while longer. around age 7 is where it becomes unusual to not be dry and you can be referred to a clinic.

My 5 year old is refusing to try without a pull up, saying she will try when she's 6 (next July!) She has started this week waking in night to go to the loo so fingers crossed it won't be 6! My 6 year old son was dry at 4 but has been referred to the clinic as he will go through patches where every night for two months or so he will wet the bed every night and we end up putting him in pull ups despite the no drinks, loo before bed, wake as we go to bed etc. frustrating but just gave to wait for hormones to kick in and not make a fuss to embarrass them/make them self conscious.
