So for various reasons DS (3.2) has been home from Nursery for 2 weeks so this last week I thought 'let's bite the bullet and try this'. We've had a potty downstairs and one upstairs for months now and he'll often do a wee in the upstairs one before his bath. Sunday evening he took the potty outside and pulled his pants down and had a wee so I thought 'ok it's time'.
This week - not so great !!! Each day has just been a mixture of wee's on the floor, in the garden or waiting until nap time when a nappy goes on. And he's not bothered at all, quite blasé about it all. Seems to have great control in that he can wait 2/2.5 hrs between anything happening. I got a sticker chart and showed him and just got a relaxed 'no thanks' and walked off. Have been asking regularly (but trying not to do it too much) if he wants a wee/use the potty/toilet and just get 'no thanks'.
He's back at nursery on Monday so I'll put him in pants and ask for their help but feeling a bit of a failure Bested by a 3 year old (mind you I doubt it'll be the last time) ...
