Ds is nearly 3 and I think ready to potty train. But his baby sister is 3 months and if we all stayed in the house for a week we'd probably kill each other!

So how do you go about training with a baby toddler combo? I've got one friend who'd probably cope with accidents at her house, but how do we stay home and stay sane?!

Hello - I'm there! Got a toddler who decided to be ready and a 4 mo. I've invited almost everybody I know over to my house but it's still so tough. On Friday both of my visitors let me down and it out me in a bad mood. I think my toddler picked up on this and ended up hitting his baby sister twice, biting his new cards and generally being a bloody pest. The answer? I've bought a travel potty and on Monday we're going out.

well we went out this morning, no choice as I've got mastitis again and needed to go to walk in centre. One accident out and another just now. Luckily dh is off and handling the brunt of it.

I also forgot his grandad takes ds on Mondays - they generally spend the day walking around town in the pushchair so do we put him in a nappy? Will that confuse him too much?

Good luck with the travel potty :)

We've given up for now after multiple wees and two poos out the potty - the latter one next to it! I'm feeling awful and he refuses to sit on the potty when asked, so we figured we'll try again in a couple weeks.

Hope yours is going better!

Don't feel awful - it's meant to be hard when there's a baby! Good luck x
