Potty training

Bigger sized potty recommendations

My Ds2 is still young but we've started letting him sit on the potty or toilet before bath time as he is showing an interest. We'd like to start potty training in the next few months however the potty we currently own is far too small for him. He is a sturdy child, and the current potty gets wedged on him, whilst we also struggle to push his willy inside the potty.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a generous sized potty?

I just got basic tippitoes potty from amazon. Fine for my larger than average ds.

I also recommend getting plastic loo seats and steps ( mine are also tippitoes). Nice to get dc used to toilet and if they aren't tiny then I found a potty less useful. Just handy to have in car in case of emergency.

Thanks for the advice. Will look into the basic tippitoes. I agree about the toilet seat; he happily brings it to the toilet and asks to sit on it. I guess I'm thinking more of when we're out and about...

I second tippitoes. My DS is on the 99.6% centile and this was the only potty that he could fit on and we tried a few. I was dreading potty training until I found this one as he refused to use the toilet at the start. I've also brought the tippitoes seat and stool and the seat fitted really well and my DS now loves using it.
