Potty training

What to do about nursery?

DS2 is 3.2 & up to now we have had a few random wees on the potty & toilet, but nothing consistent.

Then, out of nowhere, he seems to have decided it's time to potty train! Yesterday, we had 1 wee on potty, 1 on toilet, no accidents all morning. In the afternoon I put him in a nappy for toddler group/school run in car - I know feelings are mixed on this but I don't think we're ready to brave pants out & about just yet Grin

So far today, from 9.15 we have had 4 wees on potty, 5 wees on floor & 1 poo on floor. Pretty much each wee on floor has been the start of a wee that finished on the potty iywsim. Sometimes it has been me that says to go on the potty, sometimes he'll do it himself. I think he knows the spliut second before he goes as he looks down or sometimes talks about wee-wee or sweetie. He has just been going bottom-free at home.

Anyway, we are rewarding each wee/poo with a sweetie at home. But on Thursday all day & Friday until 3.30 he is at nursery, so what do I do there? Obviously they can't give him a sweetie each time like we do, nor can they watch him as closely as we do, as there are 8 children for 3 members of staff. They can't have him running around half-naked like we do, either. Should I send him in a nappy or pull-up until he's a bit more consistent at home?

If he is keen I would put pants on, send 5 changes of clothese and go for it. He is big enough to understand, and they will have helped potty trains loads of children.
