Ok, wed good had a few wet knicks, due to not pulling pants down far enough, and went of own accord most of yesterday.
Today refusal to sit on potty two wet accidnets, then after tea like butter wouldn't melt sat on and did a poo, unprompted. Keep going I suppose!

Sounds like she's doing well smile

So day 2, no accidents, went to the potty herself on final 2 of day. Did poo in nappy though this morning, before nappy had been removed. So take each day as it comes I suppose now. smile

Well 3 accidents and 2 in the potty on day one. Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Thanks all. Whilst I remember DS had to be forced to start pt at 2.7, he probably had accidents for a bout a week or fortnight, only ever 2 pairs of pooey pants and went to the toilet quite quickly, never regressed and could be persuaded to sit on the potty too.
DD is very stubborn and can't be forced or persuaded to sit on, so has had lots of accidents at last attempt. We've had a wee accident so far today, so will try for next couple of days and see how it goes.
Thanks again. smile

Go with it, both of mine I waited until they wanted to take off nappies as soon as they were wet and both of them were out of nappies day and night within a week. DS is now 7 and since we did that has only wet himself once (aged about 2 and a half) and DD now 3 and a half never has.
DS was 21 months when he decided to stop nappies and DD was 2 and 2 months.

I would go with it rather than discourage her and possibly make it harder in the long run. You've 2 weeks till hols and she could be well on the way by then.

My dd 2.8 has always screamed then I've suggested the potty. Then on Thursday she pulled her nappy off and announced she wanted to wear pants. It has been really stressfree and she was definitely ready. She had 1 accident the first day and 1 outside yesterday but other then that has just gone straight to potty everytime with no prompting.

Think your dd sounds like she could be similar.

Good luck and enjoy yr hol

I really put it off with dd until she was 21 months and she was dry within a week and only ever had one accident a day. Try it today and tomorrow and see how it goes? I don't think there's ever a convenient time to do it!

That's exactly it I don't want to discourage her, she's quite bright (I think, obviously she's my DD) and she knows she gets a chocolate button for anything on the potty. Poos were the main issue last time.

I'm rubbish at pt hate it with a vengeance as I find it so hard. HAd been dreading it, as Ds was 7years ago!! Thought she would be easier everyone had told me girls were easier, lol

Hmm I think if she wants to do it then you shouldn't discourage it therefore you have no choice in the matter grin

If she's ready she will be dry (mainly) in a week anyway, I would worry about the change if scenery etc though but she might surprise you

DD is 2.5, and this would be a second attempt. Tried about 2 months ago with some success, but then seemed to completely forget what she was doing, so stopped.
We are 2 weeks away from holiday and today she actually wants to wear pants and had whipped off her nappy this morning because it was wet. She shows lots of signs always tells me when she has done a poo, and have occasional wees on potty in pantless times.
I don't want to have to start and stop again, want the next time to be the time we crack it. What are everyone's thoughts about starting 2 weeks before a camping holiday?
