How did you toilet train your 3.5yr DS? Success stories please!

We are about to embark on another attempt at TT. It has been left so late as attempts during his 2-3 yrs were not successful and I had a baby 2 months ago so simply had no energy and knew it was not a good time to try. I have a couple of books I am looking at but they have conflicting advice and I don't really know where to start! He does not seem enamoured at the idea of using the potty or toilet and is happy waking round in a dirty nappy. He goes to nursery so is around his friends who are almost all using the loo. X

My ds was a bit younger but I just picked a day and stuck with it. I bought quite a big comfy looking potty, think it was a frog! Stayed at home and made him sit on it every 20 minutes. It didn't take too long. Bit of bribery with sweets and stickers. Just when was about to give up it just clicked! Good luck, it is a stressful time!
