Potty training 3 weeks and DS still pooing in pants! Help!

I have been potty training my DS (2.9mths) for nearly 3 weeks now and he got wees straight away with the odd accident but poos he just doesn't get. Theres been a few occasions where he's told me he needed a poo and done it in the potty or toilet at nursery and i thought we'd cracked it. We made a massive fuss and rewarded him on all occasions but all this week he's done it in his pants. Even told me when he was doing it but by the time i get him to the potty he's already done it.
I'm 37 weeks pregnant and worried this issue is going to get worse when the baby arrives.
Have even resorted to buying cheap little cars from tescos and giving them as a reward when he gets it in the potty but even that isn't working as an incentive.
Any advice much appreciated. I'm getting too big to be bending down to clean him up twice daily and really don't want to go back too pull ups when hes been so good with the weeing. xx

Watching with interest. Sorry have no advice. As this is the same position with DD, she is brilliant while we are out and about, but at home just fails miserably. HAve resorted back to nappies and am regretting giving up so easily now as she is still requesting to go while out.
HAve seen a few other threads with similar problem and they suggest a book-something about poo land!
Sorry can't be any more helpful.

Anyone got any advice. Pretty desperate now. Last few days he's been pooing his pants upto four times a day and I'm getting pretty stressed about it. Should I put him back in pull Ups even though he has cracked the weeing? X
