Potty training

Poos <sigh>

So we started potty training with DS (2.5) last saturday. We've only had two wee accidents all week, so that is going well and we've been out and about etc. He has even been dry all night for the last two nights Shock

BUT - he won't even try to poo on the potty, saying that he wants to do it in his nappy. So then I offer to put a nappy on him and he says no, and stops trying to poo. So eventually he ends up doing it in his pants. We've only recently got over a withholding problem after a poo-in-the-bath incident (another story!) so I don't want to make an issue of it, but how do I get him to poo on the potty??? or at the very least, in a nappy...

watching this thread with interest as DD after 2nd week of potty training now does most wees in potty but all poos in pants (bar one tiny one in potty a few days ago).

DS was potty trained (wee), in just a few days, at the end of October. He has had very very few accidents since. Very quickly (within two weeks) went from potty to toilet. He did fantastically! BUT, even now, 3 years 2.5 months STILL will only do poos in his nappy (that is almost 6 months of being toilet trained and still won't do his poos there). He waits for his nap/night-time nappy and does it there - fantastic control!

Have tried everything (praise, chocolate, reward charts, stickers, bribes...). He won't sit in the toilet in his nappy.

So am also watching this thread with interest, but will say that there may not be a quick answer...
