Potty training Day 1....tips anyone?

Dd is 2.6 and has been showing an interest in the toilet so I'm armed with pants, potties and rewards.

Ds was a dream to potty train, it just happened with no stress. I think dd is going to be a different story.

We have had no success so far today, she has say on the potty and toilet but has had 2 accidents on the floor while I took my eyes off of her. Both times she rushed to tell me what she had done. I've kept quite lighthearted "ah well, potty next time then?"

Should I sit her on the potty every half hour or so to begin with? I feel a little lost. Is this going to take weeks....or even months?

Any advice would be great!

Stickers on the potty for every successful attempt! It made DS really keen on using it.

That's a good idea, thank you.

I think our potty may remain sticker less for a while. She is currently sat under the kitchen table saying "leave me alone" (usually meaning she needs a poo!). She has taken the potty with her but its not looking promising!
