How can i get my 3 yo to wee IN THE TOILET

I have been toilet training my 3 year old twins since early May. I am really struggling with one of them in particluar who just doesn't seem to understand that he has to go to the toilet to wee and instead wees wherever he is standing unless I get him to the toilet in time. I have tried sticker charts, bribes and talking endlessly to him about where he needs to go if needs a wee. He will tell me he'll go in the toilet next time only to wee on the floor 5 minutes later. I feel awful because I am getting so worked up about it and I know this is the one thing you are not supposed to do.
Any advice?

Not much advice but just a hug! have been there and even now at 4 my ds has a tendency to pee all over the place like a dog marking!
My ds certainly used it to get a reaction out of me, so you could try praising the other twin massively when they get it in the toilet? HTH

OK, this hasn't really been much of a problem with my boy - but we got a book called Pirate Pete's Potty and it really helped him.

If this is a consistent issue is it possible he just doesn't really have the bladder control or bladder sensitivity yet? Maybe he's just not physically ready?

we had the same thing for about 4 days then it just clicked
I'd left a towel for him to sit on, and he weed on the towel, so I realised he was controlling it.
So i replaced the towel with a potty. Then afer a day or so of that he 'got it' enough to go to the toilet.
Makes it sound so easy - it wasn't - that was the success story after months of aborted tries! And he's 3y4m now and we're just getting to the stage where I'd describe him as toilet trained - the odd accident, maybe one a week.
