knicker training???????????

Hi everyone
I am looking for some tips on my potty training situation.
My little girl is 2 years 4 months and we have been potty training her for the last few weeks.....well she has mastered using the potty for wee wees and sort of poo poos ( tho she sometimes holds on to her poo and does it when we put her in her bedtime nappy) but the problem is we potty trained her in her bare bum without knickers and now we are trying to get her to pull down her knickers and sit and do her business on the potty she keeps having accidents in her knickers without using the potty????????? she is so good using the potty without her knickers but for obvious reasons need her to use it when she has her knickers on.
