Potty training

Do you just have to wait until they are dry before removing the night time pull ups?

Am I right in thinking there is nothing you can do to "train" at night and you just have to wait until they start being dry on their own for a while before getting rid of the night time nappies/ pull ups?

DS is 3.6 and still wees most nights. He is (usually) happy to wear a pull up at night so no problems there. Also I have no desire to have to start dealing with wets beds or night time toilet visits. So presuming we just leave everything as it is...?

My ds was dry at night from a few days into potty training, but is only dry if we do a few things to 'help' him.

He has his last drink of juice with his dinner at 5.30pm, after this if he is thirsty we just offer milk. I always sit him on the toilet straight after his bath (7ish) for a last wee before bed.

The times he has had accidents is when he is out of his routine....eg.had a late dinner or juice after about 6ish.

You may already have tried all this, but just thought Id mention it in case it helps!

DS was dry intermittently when we took him out of nappies at night. We have plenty of sheets, and if he wet it was only ever once in a night, before midnight. That's how we knew he was ready to come out of nappies. We would put him on the potty before we went to bed (he woke up himself, not even close to sleeping through at that age) and he was 90% reliable. Around the time he started to sleep through occasionally we stopped putting him on the potty and he is now 95% reliable, sometimes waking to wee, sometimes not needing to until morning. He's 3.5 now.
