Prams / Buggies for a Ford Ka ???

Has anyone managed to fit any sort of new born child transport device into a Ford Ka ? We're expecting in Feb and have jsut been to the Pram Centre where they virtually laughed us out of the shop. We did sort of manage to get a Loola to fit in, but nothing else seemed to go. (They did suggest a Bugaboo, but if we had the money for that then we could probably afford a bigger car in the first place).

Any suggestions or previous experiences would be gratefully received.

Mclaren do prams that you can use from newborn stage, I think.

I've had my Ka for 3 1/2 years. DD is 3, DS is 5 months. I've taken the parcel shelf out permanently, and used prams that you can clip the wheels on and off easily. First had XTS Boogie 2, then Microlite. Chassis and wheels fit in boot, carrycot on back seat (no front air bags, so baby in front).
Any decent pram shop will fold up a pram and try it in your boot for you.

Thank you both for your help... this eve we have finally ordered ourselves a Jane Carrera Pro, after lots and lots of trying to fit things in the car, it was the only thing that would go in comfortably without having to dismantle it into a million bits !
