Babies are popping out and were turning into a group of mummies not preggos grin.

I thought I'd start a new thread over here where we can hold hands through sore nips, milky sick, explosive poo and lack of sleep. Along with super cute newborn snuggles of course!

Checking in, hopeful that baby will be here shortly so I can officially join! :-)

jazzcat28 Wed 12-Feb-14 20:22:59

Thanks for setting up the thread misskat

Hoping to be reunited with DD tonight or tomorrow as she's now been feeding well from a bottle smile then we will be working towards being allowed home.

Can't believe I'm a mummy now!

misskatamari Wed 12-Feb-14 20:57:03

I know it's crazy isn't it jazz - most nights sat on the sofa with a sleeping baby I turn to DH and proclaim "oh my god we've got a BABY!!!" grin That's excellent that feeding is going well - I hope you all get home soon. I know how crap it is being in hospital, you just want to be home and settle into like as a family! Are you hoping to breast feed? I ended up having to express and bottle feed at first before I discovered nipple shields and have hired a hospital pump which made expressing sooo much easier.

ohhhhpieceofcandy Wed 12-Feb-14 21:13:03

Checking in. I've been a bit rubbish with posting (me and typing on my phone do not get along well) Due date was officially on Monday but is actually Sunday by my own dates. Trying to be patient! Hope we all have our lovely squidgy babies soon.smile

Checking in! My little love is currently snoozing on my chest while I munch my way through a box of Hotel Chocolat that my awesome PILs sent over. I can't believe that after all my time spent on the MN infertility board then on ante natal I finally have my sweet DD.

Thisisfreakingmeout Thu 13-Feb-14 02:19:26

Checking in. 17 day old DD is currently on the boob sleeping rather than eating.

misskatamari Thu 13-Feb-14 02:23:47

As is mine! Sooo tired!

Thisisfreakingmeout Thu 13-Feb-14 03:00:44

Switched sides. Now making feeble sucking motions in sleep but when I lie her down she starts her "feedme, Seymour" routine of grunting, snuffling and making baby bird motions with her mouth.

I can't sleep when I can hear the pitiful snuffles so we try again. This feed has been an hour so far, but only about 18 minutes of any quality.

im here lurking smile

Checking in from the hospital bed. Had no sleep due to screaming newborns and snoring mums but supposed to be all fresh faced ready for ELCS this morning. Stupid body going into stop start labour the night before I was due to go in! See you on the other side folks!

Thanks missk I'm never going to keep up with two threads and fb. wink

Explosive poos, Hmmm, they are coming from ds not dd at moment. But will join you on sore boobs, my little gannet is killing them!

But, bf is an excuse for cake to keep up those calories although I weighed myself this morning, not a good idea

jazzcat28 Thu 13-Feb-14 11:38:31

Checking in from my fourth room at hospital in 48hrs! But DD is back with me and life is again complete. DM and DF are visiting this afternoon which we are looking forward to - have put her 'best' baby grow on! (As in the best we have in our hospital bags!)

Thinking that bottle is going to be the way forward for me. Haven't got anything out of my boobs since the CS on Tues and am paranoid that if I try then she won't get enough food again. It's fine, I was happy to go for bottle anyway and viewed bf as a bonus if we managed it. Hats off to those of you who have battled on!

Thisisfreakingmeout Thu 13-Feb-14 16:04:47

MissK - I am currently addicted to Ready Player One. Think it will be my bro's birthday present too. Good tip.

How is your little piranha today? My piglet was reasonable through the night and feeding every 1.5 hours today. Have we started to establish day and night or is it a one off fluke?

misskatamari Thu 13-Feb-14 19:32:20

Jazz I'm glad the feeding is going well. If bottle is the better and less stressful option then go for it smile happy mummy and baby is what is important!

Yaaaay Thisis I'm so pleased you're enjoying ready player one! I have it on audio book and have listened to it about 5 times already as it's such a fun adventure story! My greedy baby was feeding lots in the night and seems windy and unsettled this evening hmm lots of grizzling and sick and hiccups and grunting poor thing! I think I might get some infacol tomorrow to see if that helps. Fingers crossed your good night is the start of things to come!

laura0007 Fri 14-Feb-14 02:41:31

Ah I've found you all smile
Checking in while my little piggy has his hundredth feed of the night. When will he realise that night is for sleep? hmm

TeaAddict235 Fri 14-Feb-14 16:05:00

Helloooooooo, tired eyes here. Day 10 check up today, and day 10 of poor sleep.

Finally managed to do some exercises today during Mr's sleep. Why do they have their longest sleep during the day? Praise the Lord though, finally got breastfeeding worked out, with lots of pulling and sore nipples. Can't even feel them anymore confused.

jazzcat28 Fri 14-Feb-14 19:55:25

Just had first wee and poo combo shower all over me... Yep, definitely a fully fledged mummy now!

Hope all is going well for everyone else!
