Feb 2014 - the babies are arriving and were shattered and milky!

Babies are popping out and were turning into a group of mummies not preggos Grin.

I thought I'd start a new thread over here where we can hold hands through sore nips, milky sick, explosive poo and lack of sleep. Along with super cute newborn snuggles of course!

Thanks for setting up the thread misskat

Hoping to be reunited with DD tonight or tomorrow as she's now been feeding well from a bottle Smile then we will be working towards being allowed home.

Can't believe I'm a mummy now!

I know it's crazy isn't it jazz - most nights sat on the sofa with a sleeping baby I turn to DH and proclaim "oh my god we've got a BABY!!!" Grin That's excellent that feeding is going well - I hope you all get home soon. I know how crap it is being in hospital, you just want to be home and settle into like as a family! Are you hoping to breast feed? I ended up having to express and bottle feed at first before I discovered nipple shields and have hired a hospital pump which made expressing sooo much easier.

Checking in! My little love is currently snoozing on my chest while I munch my way through a box of Hotel Chocolat that my awesome PILs sent over. I can't believe that after all my time spent on the MN infertility board then on ante natal I finally have my sweet DD.

Switched sides. Now making feeble sucking motions in sleep but when I lie her down she starts her "feedme, Seymour" routine of grunting, snuffling and making baby bird motions with her mouth.

I can't sleep when I can hear the pitiful snuffles so we try again. This feed has been an hour so far, but only about 18 minutes of any quality.

Thanks missk I'm never going to keep up with two threads and fb. Wink

Explosive poos, Hmmm, they are coming from ds not dd at moment. But will join you on sore boobs, my little gannet is killing them!

But, bf is an excuse for Cake to keep up those calories although I weighed myself this morning, not a good idea

Checking in from my fourth room at hospital in 48hrs! But DD is back with me and life is again complete. DM and DF are visiting this afternoon which we are looking forward to - have put her 'best' baby grow on! (As in the best we have in our hospital bags!)

Thinking that bottle is going to be the way forward for me. Haven't got anything out of my boobs since the CS on Tues and am paranoid that if I try then she won't get enough food again. It's fine, I was happy to go for bottle anyway and viewed bf as a bonus if we managed it. Hats off to those of you who have battled on!

MissK - I am currently addicted to Ready Player One. Think it will be my bro's birthday present too. Good tip.

How is your little piranha today? My piglet was reasonable through the night and feeding every 1.5 hours today. Have we started to establish day and night or is it a one off fluke?

Jazz I'm glad the feeding is going well. If bottle is the better and less stressful option then go for it Smile happy mummy and baby is what is important!

Yaaaay Thisis I'm so pleased you're enjoying ready player one! I have it on audio book and have listened to it about 5 times already as it's such a fun adventure story! My greedy baby was feeding lots in the night and seems windy and unsettled this evening Hmm lots of grizzling and sick and hiccups and grunting poor thing! I think I might get some infacol tomorrow to see if that helps. Fingers crossed your good night is the start of things to come!

Helloooooooo, tired eyes here. Day 10 check up today, and day 10 of poor sleep.

Finally managed to do some exercises today during Mr's sleep. Why do they have their longest sleep during the day? Praise the Lord though, finally got breastfeeding worked out, with lots of pulling and sore nipples. Can't even feel them anymore Confused.

Hope all is going well for everyone else!

Knock, knock, let me in! This is where you've been hiding. Feel sorry for those still on the other thread waiting for their babies. Feels like ages ago he was in my tummy and it's only been 8 days!
Still can't believe I'm a mum of two. Dd suddenly seems huge! When did her face get so big, legs get so long? She was always my baby and now she's a big girl!
