To be fair it is a LOT more fun than those first few weeks, however sweet those non mobile little darlings were.

PR it is white coat hypertension and generally anxiety over the op and being a patient instead of a HCP. I'm a wimp! DH is off and will come with me and hopefully keep me calm. Mum and dad are even taking the kids overnight so I can have a full nights rest which may help too!

Report
PetiteRaleuse · 09/11/2013 23:52

That's great. I hope it will help. I have read that white coat hypertension is v common among, well, white coaters. That's why I thought of it.

Well I'm awake due to red bull. Saved my day with the girls in that I taught DD1 how to hop and was a FAB SAHM on my own. Am thinking of popping a sleeper tocounteract the effect but both girls are teething so don't want to be out of it overnight. Tis almost 1am and think I might just mop the floor (again) .

Yep it is. We make the worst patients. Unfortunately the nurse at pre op clinic wouldn't believe me and is making me get a note from my Dr to prove I don't have high BP. It's a nightmare but I can see why, they need to have it in writing as otherwise if anything did happen to me and they'd anaesthetised me with high BP then they'd be in trouble. It's awkward!

Of course. Bit late now but I have a kind of self hypno technique to lower bp. Used it in a d&c and in emcs with DD1. And in hospital when I was beeding out. In the d&c they actually worried about the sudden drop in hb and bp. Could be worth thinking about it? Could just be psychological but was taught to me by a hypnotherapist when I was stressing about school exams about 15 years ago. I just had to remember her voice. Never tried it during DD1's temper tantrums. Maybe I should. If Monday's appointment doesn't go to plan maybe it is something you could think about?

Hey gt how's your night going?

The problem is everything is arranged around me having the op on Wednesday. If it doesn't go ahead I'm screwed. I'm on annual leave just now from work the op on wed and onto sick. DH is on unpaid leave from Wednesday and j has a nursery placement for twelve weeks til I'm allowed to lift him again. It'll all be a mess if it doesn't work out. Especially my work as I can't work the way I am just now but don't feel like I can be signed off sick until I'm operated on :(

I see. Maybe youtube some relaxation techniques? Or buy a paul mckenna or something cd tomorrow to listen to until the appointment? (I did a smoking one which didn.t stop me smoking but did relax me) I don't know how to help, I'm sorry. Can't they give you a bp thing during the op? Else how would they operate on high bp patients in an emergency? If you can convince them it's present-stress related iyswim.

Sympathy lily though for once I am blaming my reckless drinking of a can of red bull this evening.

Pr - got any yoghurt grapes?

Chasing my lovely, you have given o the best Christmas present possible this year by setting him up in a secure, safe home. It will be hard but you are amazing. You are feeling crap because you've been throwing up for days and have missed your tablets. You are an awesome mum. Hang in there and your even keel will be back soon.

Evil and pumpkin - way to go both of you. Gt - gutted. Think I would be back off to my mums for a bit in your shoes. Your dh would have to be properly amazing for me to even contemplate life with your mil for him. He is not being amazing.

Happy birthdays all round - just over 2 weeks till g's birthday. This year has hone so fast. Got g's developmental check on tues, then hip x- rays for both kids on thurs as well as a meeting re dd's statement. Busy week.

Who is going to confiscate pr redbull!

A is playing away on my bed. Wud awake. Never been this alert at night. So weird.
Think it affected his milk drinking? He keeps sputtering? And drinking to fast, coming off coughing then crying cos he wants more.
Been unsettled this evening. Don't know if its the FF we had today.
But he had one 2 days ago with no reaction. So non idea.

It looks like he is a lil colicky. So tiered.

Gave up and now awake. The reason for my insomnia is back ache. Horrendous back ache. I need a new bed and some painkillers. I need to wait for both.

chasing you know what I think! you are awesome, strong and funny. You are doing brilliantly. It's very very hard, being alone is the hardest thing but you not only saved yourself but O as well. I'm hoping evil that in a couple of weeks time you will realise that moving away was the best thing you have ever done. Same isles.

We're up to. S is obvs excited about his new playroom and his party today. For party bags I have done cones of sweets for the toddlers and a cone for the babies which has a fish slice plus buttons. I know it's weird but it's S's favourite thing. He's currently playing in the fridge. Door open, inspecting it all, cuddling a packet of baby sweet corn. I don't let him have milk until as close to 6am as I can bear. But I wish he didn't want to start the day at 0430.

But at least I am only awake because he is. Insomnia must suck lily and PR.

flouncy Grin (your new name is so funny) hope all goes well.

GT hope A went back to sleep.

I've caved. His high pitched staccato whinge was giving me a headache.

When he is a teenager I am going to take up the trumpet and practice in his bedroom loudly at 0430. GrinGrinGrin
