Hope you all found it after the false start. Posting from my phone so a little harder to cut & paste

Happy Birthday Beans.

My phone killed a post yesterday so I didn't post a long one and now I can't remember.

Invis did I ask when & where you are ggoing in Australia? I feel bad I have no idea what you do, but I'm sure other people do and no wonder they want to listen to you.

Ooh, nice one vag.
I hope this thread is not clairvoyant though. I'm definitely happy to stop at two (although my period is worryingly late Confused).

NO I DON'T, JAM!!! I am happy to live vicariously through other people's pregnancies and yummy babies but I could not do it all again!

How annoying re-the bump size comments. Do you have a stock response to them?

Thanks guys. Lovely day, including McDonalds (Bleugh) and Despicable Me 2 after nursery this morning. Brilliant film! Loved it! Had both DDs on my knee for most of it, so poor bump has been fairly roundly squashed for a couple of hours!

Got more than 20 cards, which was lovely! And lots of lovely presents from DH and the the girls. And jewellery from Mum and one sister and a rather childish purse from other sister! And a pair of fire bellows from ILs. Slightly random!

Out to v posh pub for dinner tomorrow night. Hurrah! X

Jam, I get constant comments about size of bump. They were references to big at early stages and now everyone says I'm neat, so who knows!

I'm also having v painful stabbing pains in ovary area, like bad period pains. I've forgotten if that's normal? Reassurance please!

And am going to buy a tarp and cheapo towels! Thank you! X

So have you decided on a home birth Beans? Exciting! How many weeks are you now?

DS asleep already I just have to work up tge courage to try the arms to cot transfer, in in no rush though as DH is left wrangling the girls while I am sitting quietly on our bed MNing and listening to Radio 4. Sometimes BFing is the perfect excuse.. Night three with no colic (so far, touch wood etc). I was sooooo sceptical about cranial osteopathy but since that treatment he has been a different baby. I honestly don't get it as they only laid their hands gently on his head but he was oddly calm as they did it and has cried so much less ever since. He is still more windy than the girls but he is a lot, lot better. Not sure what to make of it all.

How amazing, Arti! Something to bear in mind for DC3 as DD2 was a an unholy nightmare bit of a difficult baby.

Am 28 weeks on Sunday. Shit! Nervous.

JamInMyWellies · 28/06/2013 19:30

Arti that is great news. We did CO with both of ours. Particularly for DS1 who had a quite traumatic birth. It was fantastic. Went to this fab place in the city thats a charity so you only paid what you could afford.

Beans well done on the HB I am pondering it too. Especially if I have a Christmas day birth.

Artichook · 28/06/2013 19:33

We went to that charity place too Jam. Brilliant!

I hadn't clocked that you are due at Christmas, another Dec baby but a five year gap. Can't believe we were all preggo and chatting half a decade ago!

Thanks for the new thread vag.

Happy birthday beans, glad you had a lovely day.

Lady your description of dd1 and dd2 was spookily like my two even down to dp calling her wicked! I've told DH wicked is a bit strong. My dd2 doesn't bite (touch wood) but lashes out causing really deep scratches. Dd1 has a bit of a scar on her face from one attack.

Oh and I understand completely with the 'where's the drink/snack/book/camera etc Grrrrrrr

Yes me too Rubes, I'm thrilled for those that want 3 and love hearing all about it but I'm watching from the sidelines Grin.

Arti Fab news on ds.

Spot its not obligatory, or a prediction. I take no responsibility for any 'happy accidents'.

Kayz I forgot to say we've been to a few Tour de Fance last days in Paris. I'm happy to give advice for your mum, where to watch etc. One thing I will say is if they can take a little step ladder or something they can unfold and stand on they should. The crowd along the champs is usually about 4-5 deep but it doesn't matter if they can get a step above them they will still have a great view. If they want to spend a bit extra they could look at getting into one of the special tents with seating.

Anyhoo I'm happy to help with any questions.

Vag - its Melbourne then Sydney i'm going to - first too weeks of August more or less, which did not make me too popular at home. First trip to Australia so am pretty excited about it.

Rubes has the right idea on what I do. Probably can't be Mich more specific without outing myself

Lady - yes, it is a new free school did goes to and it worked out well. D's will go there too and he practically owns the place already. No worries there.

Can't post more now but happy birthday beans!

Oh that's nice, we will be in Australia at the same time, though I'll be up in sunny QLD. It will be cold when you go over but it should still be nice, it's around 15 degrees this time of year in Sydney though it can get upto 20. Melbourne is a bit colder but is a great city at anytime of year, yummy restaurants.
